Yes, they automatically microchip all the puppies they sell at my daughter's work. Nobody wants to lost their $1000 pooch. I imagine that if socialized medicine becomes the course for the States there may be introduced a new microchip I.D. to allow access to medical services. Purely speculation on my part. Would I ever take a microchip. He double hockey sticks NO!

Well, one good thing about being microchipped, when we get old and have demensia and go wandering in the streets - they will be able to find our home!!!

They have been doing that for years in Australia, microchipping pets
