    Quoting  :

Amen! And it gives us more time to be a light and witness ot others when they are panicking and we have peace that passeth all understanding.

And believe me, I have been very directly affected by the "crisis". And I am grateful for the opportunity to explain to my friends and those who see me why I'm not worried at all! And not to mention that this is just fulfilling Bible prophecy because the Federal Reserve (which is a group of private bankers NOT a part of the government) taking over banking has pretty much ensured that we are going to move towards a global monetary agency and global currency very soon.

I'm glad you asked this! My own opinion is that this entire phenomenon has been caused by - believe it or not - the media (the news media specifically). Furthermore, it is my understanding that until the fear that consequently arose, the only people who suffered anything were super-rich bankers and financiers, and greedy people who wanted 'at once' more than they could afford and borrowed massively to get it. In the latter case, these were already wealthy people because banks don't lend huge sums, the interest upon which could be considered crippling, without solid collateral.
Had none of this high-finance information - that is of little import to normal people - ever been chosen to be broadcast as 'news', no one would have become fearful and started altering their financial arrangements; it was this that caused the market fluctuations and that then really caused a panic because their entire basis hinges on predicting future trends and evading disaster.
Since I never spend what I don't have, never gamble on stocks and shares, and don't believe in home-ownership so would never have to borrow huge sums, I've suffered absolutely nothing.
Also, since my belief has been the aforementioned, I'm glad to see that most people are the same, and actually haven't suffered at all.

Greed is at the heart of this entire phenomenon and anyone who isn't greedy would always be safe.

By the way, on a money programme on the radio today I heard people calling in to moan that they had 'lost out' as a result of this financial 'crisis' - and felt they deserved compensation for their loss - because the amount of interest they were 'earning' on their savings would be less than expected because of the falling interest rates! Oh, how my heart bled for them!
