NO laughing matter.. our American friends need financial help!

I pray today for some clear thinking surrounding the bail out of all these American banks and the Wall Street Empire... at a cost of nearly a trillion dollars and an overall debt load this nation will rack up nearly 12 trillion dollars in debt.

This is a very serious matter. Why should ordinary Americans pay for the crimes of the rich? IF bankers and investors on Wall street took such great risks with other people's money why should there be a governmnet that bails them out? If you or I got into financial trouble like this, we'd be on our own.

The other interesting part of this is the fact that AMerica is a capitalist country. Its pride and reputation is all about capitalism. This bail out is clearly a socialist move... infact I know of no other socialist move in the history of the United States as great as this one. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

There's no money for a national health care system but suddenly in a heartbeat the rich investors get their money back for taking a high risk gamble-- and the money comes from poor people that have lost their house, can't pay for their medication, can't afford a doctor.

Heaven help this nation as we will all be affected by it. Our Canadian economy is very dependent on the American economy because we do so much trade with them.

In Cleveland one in eleven houses are empty and the infrastructure is falling apart. These are sad times for our American friends and I shudder to think what will be next.

Let us pray...

Canadians have no right to be ridiculing anyone. We made the decision a long time ago to keep all our eggs in one basket. Of course it all depends on who owns the basket... therefore... we must learn from this. My whole raison d'etre for writing this is to show my real sympathy for the average American tax payer who is burdening a HUGE amount of weight. And this for me is a moral issue. Why do so many hard working average Americans have to bear the burden for so many wealthy corporate 6 figure income chief executive officers who are scott free now, enjoying their wealthy coffers from their high risk gambling they did with other people's money--- having lost and now bailed out by a compassionate government that seemingly cares only about the wealthy and not the poor average American tax payer. It's a real shame.
