First of all, I would like to thank all of you who have been praying for Ed and me. I really appreciate each one of you. Here is the latest: We were given miss information about Crystal's situation. The blockage in her (Ed's mom) carotid artery is not bad enough to have caused her problems. She did not have a stroke and she is getting sufficient blood to her brain. Her bladder infection has been treated, so that is not causing the problems either. However, she is still the same. The doctor thinks that she has had a nervous breakdown. He can find no physical explanation for what is going on here. There are many factors which could have contributed to this but it is of no benefit to go into them on a public forum such as this. For those of you who really want to pray about this, email me and I will give you details. The doctor is recommending that she go to a geriatric mental facility. It is a short-term one. Ed, as the oldest, must make the decision on what to do, and he has decided to follow the doctor's advice. There are really no other options other than to put her into a nursing home and let her vegetate, which no one wants to see. Now for the spiritual side of this. The Indian Mission here in Hobart was basically shut down when Ed came here six months ago. He believes that the Lord has told him that the Kiowa Indians who believe in the old way, perhaps a Medicine Doctor even, may be trying to come against the work here. They are seeing resurrection here of the work and they are not happy. So, this is an absolute attack from the enemy, Ed believes. We will not allow the enemy to have the victory here. Please hold us up in prayer to remain strong in the Lord in this resolve. I never thought that I would be thrust into the middle of such an intense spiritual battle the week that I arrived here. I have been used in spiritual battles many times, but I must admit that I was hoping for at least a brief honeymoon before I had to go back to the battlefield. Oh well, that was not to be. The Lord has been training me for a long time for this kind of battle, so I am up to the task in Him. He has taught me well to totally rely upon Him for everything, so all will be well. Ed and I are doing well in spite of the storm raging around us. Thank God! We are praying several times a day together and by ourselves. Please pray that we keep our eyes upon the Lord and that we keep the lines of communication open between us so that we do not start attacking each other. Sorry this is so long. I just had to bear what is on my heart. I need support desperately! I know I can count on people here to give it to me! Be blessed, each of you! |

Jean, I feel the Spirit of the Lord impressing upon me three things: 1. Pray in the spirit. You and I both know that it's a powerful weapon of intercession because you are allowing Him to articulate exactly what needs to be prayed in the situation WHILE building up your spirit-man, and clearly this is what you need during this time. I've also found that when I do this a lot, additional revelation and spiritual wisdom and insight starts to manifest. Need I say more? (smile) 2. Speak the Word of God. Remember Ephesians 6, that you are to put on the whole armour of God. You are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities, and powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. So hold up your shield of faith AND wield the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Allow the Holy Spirit to direct you as to which scriptures to "throw" (like spiritual grenades) into the enemy's camp. The enemy is fighting because another powerful "general" in the Lord's army has shown up in camp. You are on the offensive, my sister, not the defensive. So ACT like it! Stand your ground and remind the enemy of who's you are and who you serve. (smile) 3. Always, plead the blood of Jesus over yourself, Ed, Ed's mom, and the Hobart Mission. Enforce the things you know in your heart are yours as the blood-bought, covenant children of God that you are. It's a fight of faith, Jean. But greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. Stand by faith in His grace and allow Him to do what He wants to do for you and through you. I'll be praying for you and Ed to have discernment and spiritual accuracy as well as rest and strength. Yes, rest in Him, for the battle is not yours, it is the Lord's! Sharon

"Mightier is He in you than is in the world. Pray in the spirit, speak the Word and do not flinch in faith. The Lord is with you." Will pray Jean. Mya

I should suggest that prayer with fasting is effective. I tried it many times. Our spirit is willing but the body is weak. Let the Spirit of God Reigns. My prayers for Ed's mom, and you and Ed's ministry as well. Conquer that place for God. Fight the good fight IN JESUS NAME! " We are fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14a
