Hurray! We have finally arrived in Hobart, Oklahoma! We got in last night! We are done with the packing, shipping, introducing Ed to my family and friends. Now we can settle down to our new life here at the Kiowa Indian Mission here in Hobart, Oklahoma. I am feeling a little culture shock. I am going from living in a small castle to a two-bedroom parsonage. I am going from cool Pennsylvania weather to 100 degree weather. I have no friends or family here. Through it all, though, I can feel God's peace and grace. I know that I am in the center of God's perfect will for me, so I can rest that all is under His control. I will give myself time to grieve my loses and acclimate to my new climate. I will just give myself time. It helps that God has given me a husband that is very sensitive and understanding. He is a great comfort to me. He holds me up in prayer continually as well as holding me in his arms. We already are seeking the Lord on how He wants us to combine our ministries. Ed, of course, is a pastor. My ministry has mostly been as a counselor for women. I also have shipped all the books that the Lord had provided for me out here so that we can open a Christian library. It will be a great blessing in this rural, economically challenged area. So, the Lord will show us what to do first and how. This is His gig, so we just need to take our marching orders from Him and we will be fine. Tomorrow we are going to a district rally where I will get to meet people from the other Indian Missions in the area along with the other pastors and their wives. I am a little nervous about that, but I am sure the Lord will give me the grace to do well. Well, that is the update. Thanks for reading this! I am glad to be here in Hobart, finally. I will have time to do blogging again! Yea! I have missed you all. I am sorry that I have missed so much that has been said here. I will slowly get caught up, though, with commenting on your posts. Just be patient with me, okay? Thank you all for your prayers, by the way. Everything went better than we could have hoped. God miraculously brought in money again and supplied our every need. It was amazing, and I am so grateful to Him for all He has done and how much He loves us. Well, I guess that is all for now. Love you all! Be blessed! |

I grinned REAL BIG Yes, grace, grace, and more grace for Ed and Jean, Lord. And, obviously, He is amply supplying...as usual! We all miss you--BOTH--but certainly understand. I'm thrilled that you will continue to blog. I had hoped... Anyway, looking forward to the updates and sharing about what it's like becoming a pastor's wife. For some reason, I'm particularly interested. Hmm... Blessings, my friend! Sharon

In my travels I have discovered that home is where you have love and acceptance..its never an address on a mailbox. You are home now. It may take time to settle in and not bang your shin in the night but I know you will come to love that little house and community. I pray Gods blessings for you both.

I have been thinking of you and praying for you. Sounds exciting! A new life. You are a pastor's wife now! God Bless! Heart Romans 14 verse 5 One person regards one day holier than other days, and another regards them all alike. 3 Each must be fully convinced in his own mind.

I don't think you'll have a problem combining your ministries. I think it will be good; if you can continue your counseling to women it should be a nice compliment to Ed's ministry as pastor. May the Lord bless your families richly. Steven No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 1 Cor. 2: 7

Wherever God leads, He will also provide. And I believed, God will not only provide for your financial needs, but for your spiritual needs as well. May He equip both of you with more wisdom and understanding of His works that are entrusted to you. May you be Blessed and be a Blessing to your new place and family. Well, thank you for letting us know. " We are fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14a
