Hi, Everyone! Sorry that it has taken so long for me to let you know how things are going between Ed and me. It has been crazy since I got here. Very busy. Anyway... It is so much better than ever dreamed it would be! While I was still an hour out by plane, the Lord flooded my spirit with the most amazing sense of peace. All anxiety was gone, all fear, all doubt! It was miraculous! The first thing I noticed about Ed was his smile. What a wonderful, open smile! The next thing was his eyes, when I got close enough. Oh my, what eyes! They are open, inviting, honest. You know how when you look into some people's eyes you can spiritually discern evil inside that person? Well, there was none of that when I looked into Ed's eyes. I was 99.999999% sure that the Lord had brought us together before I ever came to Oklahoma, but as soon as I saw him, the 0.000001% of doubt was completely gone! There is absolutely no doubts in either of our minds that the other is the one the Lord has for us. It is a done deal! My long search for the right one for me is over! We had to drive for 2 hours to get to Hobart. The whole time, it felt so very comfortable, like we were already married and I had just gone somewhere for a visit and was on my way home! Ed said that same thing. We got to Hobart at about 3:00 in the morning. Ed proposed to me at exactly 3:36 AM on April 26, 2006, central time. AND I SAID YES !!!!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah! The Lord is so very good. The Bible is absolutely true that the Lord rewards those who diligently seek Him and that those who wait upon Him will renew their strength and soar like the eagle. I praise Him and thank Him. He is so very good to me. I don't deserve any of it, but I will take it anyway! We don't know when we will be getting married. He needs to meet my children and we need to get permission to marry from his denomination. Plus, the Lord has to provide money for me to relocate with. So, it will not be right away. It will probably be last spring or summer. It is really okay with me that we don't live close together, though. I don't think, to be perfectly honest with you, that I would be able to remain celibate until our wedding night if I did. The Lord has given me such a tremendous love for Ed that I want to show him in every way how much I love him. But I also love him enough not to disrespect him in any way. More than that, though, I love the Lord too much to dishonor Him in that way. I have never done it right before. I want, with the Lord's grace, to do it right this one last time. So, there is the update! I don't know that I will be blogging much for the next few days. We only have until Monday evening together, so we want to spend as much time as possible together. I am sure you understand! LOL! I will update you again when I get home, though. Thank you all so much for your love, support, financial contributions and prayers. I can feel your prayers for sure, for sure! Talk to you soon! Be blessed, Jean P.S. For Ed's thoughts go to his post, He said "I DO".... |

Jean and Ed, I am SO delighted that I get to be the first one in line here on BC to publicly share in your joy as you complete one stage of your journey and enter into the beginning of the next one. What a wonderful story is unfolding, amen???!!! God is SO very good!!! As wonderful and exciting as it is for you, please know that it's no accident that you are willing to announce and broadcast this on BC. Some will most likely look at this and think, "It's too fast. They are just caught up in a euphoria or out of their loneliness or pain." But I encourage you to just keep listening to the Lord Who has clearly put you together. Don't pay any attention to the doubters or the skeptics. And guard your hearts at being offended. Don't let the enemy have even one little inch to work in your lives. And I know you will. I see the caliber of people you are. And remember: the only One you ultimately have to please is Him. Now...to Him Who is able to keep you spotless and blameless before Him, may He grant you wisdom in every step you take, and much grace in whatever "between" time there will be. Most importantly, just enjoy the process, guys! Have fun! Be ecstatic in what the Lord has done for you. And all of us here at BC will clap and cheer...and thank God that our time is coming, too!!!! Can anyone else say amen??? ![]()

Jean, Congratulations. I live in Oklahoma too, BTW. I live in Ada. I've only been here since September of 2004, as I am orginally from the Washington DC metro area. Send me an email sometime through the Big Church system, and let me know where in OK you are. I've joined a couple of the Oklahoma discussion boards here on Big Church, but they don't seem to be very active unfortunately....LOL Peace, Donna
