“Compassion costs. It is easy enough to argue, criticize and condemn, but redemption is costly, and comfort draws from the deep. Brains can argue, but it takes heart to comfort.” - Samuel Chadwick

Lord, help us to think of others more with our hearts than our brains! Amen!

do you love someone enough to stand and tell them when they are wrong? That takes comapassion too but it also isnt fun.

Yes, I do. You know I do. I also feel tons of compassion (usually) when I have to do that. The times that I don't feel that compassion though, are the times when I need to stop and ask God to give me some, because that is just when Jean is going to get in the way of God and ruin everything.

What I am saying here is that there is a way to speak the truth to someone in love and a way not to. I want to go the way of love. Still say what needs to be said, but say it in love, not anger or hatred, etc. I am sure you don't have a problem with that, do you buddy?

Compassion is a heart and soul thing. We risk getting hurt when we feel for another person......that is why we use our heads more often. But, when we mature in Christ we have understanding and taking that risk of the heart doesn't hurt or matter as much. Christ died a horrible death for his children, what does it matter if we get hurt.......its all in good faith.
Thanks Jean,

peace....
