The biggest, well orginised cult I ( beside the muslims ) I know of. The danger of it is all embrases it, excepts it, even if not a member. I was pushed to joined them but GOD steped in, in a vision, spoke to me and warned me not to go there, HE repeated " you are not to go there, I do not want you going there " 3 times. Me again, If you go back in history you can read how the catholic church was killong the christians. Italy ( Rome, roman catholic!!?) used to feed the christians to the lions while people watched on!!! I was just listening to a program on GOD chanel where they were teaching how some guy , forgot his name tried to wipe out the dews, and he was the person who gave the name Palastine, --- I think it has a meaning to it. They prey to Mary, to Joseph and who knows what else. GOD says I am a Jealous GOD, have no other god than ME. They confess their sins to men!!!, "This is the blod--- This is the body ----. How can it be, it represents the blood, the body. FATHER WHO???? are you kidding??? GOD says do not call any one father. The vatican has it's own law, no one knows whats goes on in there. I tell you this is the biggest cult that the whole world embraces openly, even the most powerful goverments in the world. But GOD is going to pour out his wrath on them soon. Will give you some well written books on them soon. Love you and leave you in Jesus name, Forry. PS Any one reading this and is a catholic please I beg you GET OUT and join a christian church.

I wanna say that some of the most devoted & kind individuals I know are part of corporate religious systems, both Catholic, Islam,Christian, and others... that I understand to be anti-teachings-of-Christ. I shout a big AMEN! to everything Forry is sharing and am eager to hear his full story. I also want to encourage everyone to read, The Heavenly Man and learn about how our living GOD, the only Father God who flows in direct instruction into our individual hearts and minds and who grows us spiritually - read this man's testimony about what GOD experience really is, full and fearless in the face of acute danger. God pours out HIS spirit in a place where corporate religion is illegal. Amazing. AND - screen Twist of Faith. I'll find a jump to it and post on my blog. Forry you gotta screen this documentary about one fellow's journey when he sadly discovered that the catholic priest who molested him years ago lived down the street in a neighborhood he just moved his family into, including his two young children. i.e. impossible to ignore it any longer, the fellow steps out, for the sake to protect his kids and others, and goes public with his story. You just gotta see this doc. Guess what. The guy's attorney discovered that Catholic priests make a pledge to do whatever is required, including lying, to protect the church. Yep. Explains why so many cover ups happened and so many molestors were shuffled around, to protect the reputation of the catholic priests/church. And I'm sorry but any organization that casturates boys in the name of Jesus is simply evil, period. The more I study the more I'm feeling like there is a connection between the prevalence of emasuculated men in America and the influence of Corporate Catholicism... eunuchs, both literal and emotional, are simply easier to conquer and control. Emasculate and render an emotional eunuch and... hummmm.... who knows what could happen. AND who in the world would teach children that its more blessed to NOT yield oneself as a living metaphor for covenant love of Christ for HIS BRIDE???? Marriage is sacred and glorifys God. Luther figured it out. Screen the movie, Luther. AND who would make it illegal to read God's word??? Who would burn people for translating the Bible into local language??? EVIL, the system isn't a pretty thing. Still, some very devoted individuals are in this system who experience God in spite of same. God's mercy is unlimited. Gotta love HIM!

I absolutely agree with you that it is the second largest cult in the world, right behind Islam. I also agree that the danger with the Catholic religion is that it is accepted by most of the world, even those people who aren't Catholic. Even evangelical Christians are embracing Catholicism as just another denomination of Christianity now! What a horrible mistake. If you would make a post describing the false teachings of Catholicism, I would be very grateful. If you can't, let me know, and I will. God hates this religion, just as He does any religion that does not teach the truth concerning His Son and salvation. Just because individuals are devoted and kind does not make them right! It is what they do with Christ that makes them right or wrong. 2. "Still, some very devoted individuals are in this system who experience God in spite of same." The important thing here is who or what are they devoted to? If they are devoted to Catholicism, then I pity them. If they are devoted to Christ, then hallelujah! I think they should come out of the Catholic cult then and be separate, however!

I hate to say it, but I have to agree to some extent here. One of my good friends is a devout Catholic. For several years I believed he was a true believer. He is very wise in many ways and lives an exemplary life. He is even very angry and speaks out against the sin he sees in the leadership of the church. He knows more Scripture than any other Catholic I have known. Then two things happened. He began to tell me that his church is the only true church, and when we had a long discussion on the doctrine of salvation he ended up saying that we are saved by both faith and works and that no one can know whether or not they are saved until they stand before God. Unfortunately, these make a good definition of a cult. 1) You say you're the only true church, and 2) you believe in salvation by works. This has saddened me greatly. There is so much truth in the mass. They speak the truth of the Gospel every time they recite it, but so many don't really believe it. Some do. As Melody said, it is by the grace of God that they hear and believe. I was also in a protestant church for a while, as a young man, that I now consider to be a cult. They preached the Gospel and people got saved by the Word of God. But, the actions of the leadership proved that it was all about control and many lives were also hurt there. We were told that other churches were not following God's will like ours, and if we didn't do as we were told, our salvation was called into question. Thank God that by His mercy I was delivered from that place. If the Gospel is preached and people get saved, but other practices are evil or harmful, is it a bad church or a cult? Regarding Catholicism, I will not say definitively one way or the other. One thing's for sure though, Satan loves to sprinkle his lies in among the truth. Be wary of that roaring lion and take care. I also agree that there are many churches that call themselves Christian besides Catholic ones that are cultish. We must be very careful in these last days what teachings we buy into. Faith plus works is the Roman Catholic position, and God does save Roman Catholics; but like me once God saves you; you'll leave the Catholic church. Don't forget though, that the early Catholic church canonized Scripture. Personally, I think they became corrupt whey they became a political power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. We even see today that to save political face even child molesters are not immediately excommunicated. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness..." Matt 6:33.

I was raised Catholic, and was taught that Bibles are only for the priest to hold and read. When I was in the church, I only read or hear the scriptures being read in the pulpit, without having a chance to know if it really is in the Bible or not. When I became to Know Christ, that was the time I knew the difference! The Bible is for me to read also. It's for all to know the truth! Now I understand how Christ hate the Pharisees, their teachings and their lifestyle! Please, help me pray for my family to get out from that religion. THE TRUTH WILL SET US FREE.
