Mat 25:31-46 tells us that whatever we do unto others, we do unto the Lord. If we love, help or appreciate another person, we do it to Christ. If we hate, wound or condemn another person, we do it to Christ. Let us look at other people as Christ. Before we do something for or to another person, let us see Christ in their face. Hopefully, it will make all the difference in how we act toward them! | ||

I'm really beginning to see the truth to this. I'm called to do, it's not promising that in the process I wont be hurt or mocked or rejected. The responses of others are not my responsiblity, my responsibility is to do as unto the Lord. I miss that mark, I need to use more self-forgetfullness and look at others through the eyes of Jesus. Thanks for the thought. Sharyl

Very convicting. Easy to accept we are doing good for others, "Oh I just helped Jesus." but kind of takes the fun out of it to say, "Oh I just got even with Jesus." Great point. Makes ya think twice.

How surprised some people would be if Jesus were to say to them: "When I was hungry, you gave me food; when I was destitute, you gave me shelter; when I was in prison, you visited me; when I needed medical care, you helped provide it; when I needed companionship, you were there for me..." CB

Amen. I can understand this being a parent. If you hurt one of my children, you hurt me. I feel their pain as if it were my own. So our Father in heaven does us. If we hurt He hurts, when we cry He cries. What a Father we have! That's my Jesus! Elizabeth
