I read a comment from another good Christian person today who is ready to leave Big Church, like I did for a while, because it is not the Christian website that she thought it was. Let me share with you what the Lord told me after I quit coming here. I quit because of the men who kept wanting to engage in cybersex with me on IM here, the men who kept approaching me wanting to scam me and the people on the blogs who are promoting false doctrine. I was allowing junk to get into my spirit from this website and it was affecting me spiritually. I was getting depressed and oppressed. I thought the answer was to leave Big Church. That made sense to me, anyway. That way I wouldn't have to worry about any of that junk getting into me anymore. The sad part was that I had been used by the Lord here at Big Church. I had led people to the Lord here, encouraged people and helped them be set free from bondages. All good stuff! I was very sad to leave Big Church, but I thought I had no choice. The Lord doesn't want me to be letting evil flood my spirit like it was, that is for sure. Well, while I was gone for those couple of weeks, the Lord spoke to me and told me that Big Church is not a Christian website, it is a mission field! It is a place just like so many places that appear to be Christian but really aren't - like our country, some of our churches, etc. He asked me - if all the Christians leave then who will witness to the others? If all of the strong Christians leave, who will be influencing the weaker ones? He gave me some ways to safeguard myself against the evil here so that I could come back and continue with my friendships and ministry here and still be safe from most of the junk that He doesn't want getting into my spirit. I no longer approach men here. I don't go on IM unless I have a prearranged meeting time with someone I know, I don't go to the blogs of the people here who I know are perpetuating false doctrines and I have blocked those same people from commenting on my blog. I have been back at Big Church for a couple of weeks now, and I am very happy. I don't have to put up with the junk I was before and I am having a great time! I have been able to minister to people, spread His Word and interact with my friends. It has been great! So, I would like to encourage any Christian who is thinking of not continuing here at Big Church to rethink that decision! Are there changes that you can make to your activities here at Big Church or to your profile that will safeguard you against our enemy's schemes and still allow you to be here for fellowship and to minister to the Lord? If you can, I would encourage you to stay. Like the Lord asked me, I will ask you - if all the Christians leave then who will witness to the others? If all of the strong Christians leave, who will be influencing the weaker ones? Think about it, okay? Mat 11:12 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." Isa 59:19 "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him." |

Thanks so much for telling me this. Oftentimes, we Christians don't want to judge others and because of this we try not to reject people who claim to be Christian. I email one of the webmasters of BigChurch every once in a while and he seems to be a Christian. But his kindness makes him allow all kinds of people here. So I definitely will think of this as a missionfield. We'll just try the best we can and God will lead searchers to our blogs. That's all we can do. I'm a Christian and I know there are many "Christian writers" who confuse folks by trying to drag people into conversations about unimportant denominational issues or even cultic practices. We can only be a presence here and trust God.

I have to say that I joined this web site expecting true Christians to be here. I expected some differences of points of views, but definitely not in base beliefs! I don't know what made me think such a place could be any different than any other "Christian" location - probably just wishful thinking! Even churches, which are God's houses, are open to all - it does not mean that all know God and are good people. But, it is where people of all kinds can learn about Him, and maybe a word penetrates their hearts and starts them on the right path to God. In the end, all you can do on such a web site is continue doing what you know in your spirit to be right. The rest is up to God. God bless, G “Faith makes a Christian. Life proves a Christian. Trial confirms a Christian. Death crowns a Christian.” Annonymous

You've got a right decision to come back in this site. Yes, this is a mission field. Sometimes, we aren't able to share about God in our neighbours. But here, we are sharing God's Words to the world! Isn't it wonderful? " We are fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14a

Thanks for the post Jean, can I call you Jean? Being a somewhat new Christian, I must say that your posts have helped me out so so much. Wether to give me a good "WAKE UP CALL", to make me think about things or to just simply better understand things (WITH GODS GUIDANCE OFCOURSE). There have been many times that God has used your posts to give me a message. I'm so glad you decided to come back! You really are a treasure at BC. God Bless You. ~Dulee.

God bless you for sharing your revelation, Jean. I needed to hear that, both sides of it, to give me a broader perspective on what I'm doing here, for heaven's sake. Thanks, Lee
