Amen, Brother! Well spoken!

God is not all mercy, as some here at Big Church would like us to think. He is the perfect balance of Mercy and Judgement. Just picture a set of scales, with Mercy on one side and Judgement on the other. The name of these scales is Love. God uses them both in perfect balance in order to accomplish His will in the lives of His children and to show them Love. We should be praying to be like Him in everything, that includes being completely balanced in these areas, so that we can show forth perfect Love.

Being all mercy is like the mother who lets her child do what ever he wants, never giving him any discipline at all. That child goes up to be an selfish, unloving, horrible person and hating his mother for allowing him to become that way.

Being a totally judgemental parent makes an equally undesirable adult. The child either has no self-condfidence or becomes an abuser. He grows up to hate his mother, too. Neither of these are examples of a mother loving her child.

Being a good, loving parent involves having the correct balance of Mercy and Judgement.

How a child of God relates to others should be done as He does it, with a balance. We should all be praying for the Lord to give us His perfect balance in our dealings with others, and therefore, His Love for them. Mercy and Judgement in perfect balance, that is the Lord's way, and that is my way.
