It seems to me that our enemy has been trying to destroy Christ every since He was born, starting with Herod. His latest ploy is to try to remove Christmas from our vocabulary. Before this it was to use the word Xmas instead of Christmas. He X'ed our wonderful Savior's name right out of Christmas! Even Christmas is pronounced without reverence for our King as Chrissmas. I wish to do my little part in keeping my wonderful Lord and Savior in the day that we have set aside to remember how He did not hold onto His position as God, but humbled Himself and became a man and entered this sin-ridden world that through Him we might be saved from the punishment of our sins, everlasting hell. What I choose to do is to call Christmas Christ Day. It seems much more appropriate and reverent to me. So, I wish each and every person here at Big Church a very Blessed Christ Day! | ||

Interesting and I can't agree more that it is sad how subtlely Christ is being taken out of Christmas. However for me, instead of trying to change the name of the day, I want to emphasise that He is and always has been there - we need to fight to keep the word Christmas instead of letting 'Happy Holidays' or similar take over. Thank you for your greeting! Happy CHRISTmas to you! ![]()
