These Last Days - Are You Ready! Matthew 24:14 And this Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come During the 2014 Service Year 1,945,487,604 hours were spent in the ministry preaching and teaching 'people of all nations' to 'come to a true understanding of God'. Isn't that amazing. Jah is really seeing to the advancement of His purpose in these last days. Of the 266 islands and lands in the world there are only 3 were His Witnesses do not actually reside. They are Afghanistan, North Korea & Somalia. Happily, those 3 countries have, never-the-less, received literature and also have internet connection to JW.org This means that every country has now had some degree of witnessing to God's truth and purpose and the coming of His Kingdom taught to them. Knowing that Kingdom rule has begun should greatly inspire us to 'buy out the opportune time' and yet many fail to acknowledge that these developments fulfill Bible prophecy regarding the last days. They may expect this system to fall apart one day or may believe that somehow human efforts will achieve 'peace and security'. Do you recognize that we are living deep in the last days of satan's system? 'Buying out the opportune time' is not easy in a world full of distractions. 'Just as the days of Noah were so the presence of the of man will be. They were eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage,....and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away.' Jesus said, 'Prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that you do not think it, the of man is coming.' Although the of man is coming at an hour we do not think to be it, we need to remember that Jehovah is the Great Timekeeper. His timetable is not controlled by world events and human plans. Jehovah regulates the timing and outcome of matters to accomplish His purpose. Many of the momentous changes in the world have been fulfilling prophecy, particularly in regard to the global preaching of the Good News of God's Kingdom. For e.g. the collapse of the Soviet Union and its consequences. Few would have thought that such enormous political changes could happen so quickly. As a result of these changes the Good News is now being preached throughout many lands where the work was previously banned. Similar such happenings have been taking place for the past 100 years, right up to now, when we see the work progressing to God's timetable. We know that satan and those under his influence are trying to stop the work that God assigned to His followers but he has/is failing completely! Despite satan's attacks we know that Jehovah God as a 'living God', who is the Saviour of all sorts of men, especially faithful ones, and that He 'knows how to deliver people of Godly devotion out of trial.' Although, we do not know the full details of when all these things will occur, we do know that Christ will do away with God's enemies, and Jehovah's sovereignty will be fully vindicated. May we never fall into the snare of thinking that 'all things are continuing exactly as from creation's beginning' but let us 'show a waiting attitude for the God of our salvation.' Happily, God 's original purpose for humankind included endless time to learn about Him and His beautiful creation. Eccl. 3:11 Everything He(Jah) has made pretty in its time. Even time indefinite He has put in their heart, that mankind may never find out the work that the true God has made form the start to the finish. Such a wonderful future is awaiting us, if we will just reach out our hand, and take a hold of God's hand, He will 'lead us in paths of righteousness.' Yours, Katidid. |
