cock ROACHES

If you were a cock roach would you prefer to have the lights on or off in the kitchen?

Could I bug you a little further by explaining why you chose lights on or lights off.

(Exterminator comes on Tuesday!!!!)

U
All of the lights on.
All of the lights off.
Some of the lights on.
Any other thoughts, I need help.

I agree with the bottom one..that you do need help..a lot of it..the sooner the better and I hope you know I am teasing..it makes my day if I can tease at least one American a day..well that is what my doctor prescribed..actually we all know that cockroaches prefer the dark..unlike moths being attracted to light..they scurry from it..so if you want to really annoy them..leave all your lights on..that'll bug them heaps but then it may turn them into vicious killers for when the exterminator comes

I was told that an Aussie a day keeps the doctor away. Is that true?

Lights off please. I can operate by sensors and habit. I sense that when the lights are off, I am safe.

Cherish all your happy moments: they make a fine cushion for old age.

Well, I fooled them last night when I was up until 3:00 pm.

They like the lights off..but I read someplace that they can't pass gas and if you put a bit of eye drops and sugar in a soda pop cap and set it where you see them..they will scurry out gobble it up and then the eye drops will give them a literally KILLER case of gas.

I don't know if its true or not ...but you can buy eye drops at Dollar Tree for a buck and you can tell yourself its science?

I think I will have my son do this experiment, but not mention the gas, just in case. Meanwhile, I leaving.

Would not want to be a roach or any bug. Just take some clog shoe( we call them "Roach Stompers" as kids and whack them good. Less expensive then hiring a exterminator. hahaha

Indescribeable replies on 7/29/2006 5:23 pm:
I have been whacking them for two months. GRRRRRRRRRR

Down here in Texas we wear them thar pointy toed cowboy boots so's we can get them thar ornery critters even when they get into the corner.

Try some epsom salts in water. They will drink it up and it will dehydrate them. But in answer to your question, they prefer the dark.

Great idea. Will do. Then I will let everyone know what really works. This is beginning to seem like a science project for sure.

They prefer the dark.......
I sometimes call satan an old cockroach because he prefers the dark. Bring in the Light (Jesus) and he scurrys away just like an old cockroach does when you turn on the light.

Yucky, now I must get rid of them, I surely wouldn't want a bunch of evil ones scurrying around!!! Yikes.

You know how many cock roaches it takes to change a light bulb?
No one does cause as soon as the light comes on they all scatter.
LOL

as a former creature of darkness i can say from experience that none of us ever wanted the light on.

Living in Florida, just be grateful you don't have one of those water bugs living in your house! Big, ugly, 2-3 inches long. Yuk! Dude, evil things seek the darkness. But, if you see one in the light, spray it with anything handy.(lysol, windex, etc) You don't need Raid to kill bugs. I often joke about "cleaning" bugs or ants. Of course, that only kills THAT one. I think baits are the answer. Gotta kill the whole lot of them. And, uh might I suggest a little R&R for you?

Indescribeable replies on 8/1/2006 9:29 pm:
Polk county Florida is full of those kind. They are called Pametto bugs also know as roaches. It seems I have the german roach varietie in Pinellas County.

Now my dear friend we all know there are palmetto bugs in Pinellas Cty too...don't be fibbin to the tourists ...

The idea of Borox is a great one, that works really well...
but also...coffee grounds help too, they don't like em. It is only a repellant though, not a killing agent.
When I lived there, I used a product by Bengal. I am not sure if you can still get it but it has a flushing agent which gets em OUT of the walls. You can also spray it in appliances, electronics without damaging them as it is a dry spray.
But really, as we all know that have lived in that area, we can fight em and keep em at bay a bit, but only a pro can get em out and keep em out. I know a good guy there, if you are still having probs with the one you got, let me know if you want his number.
Love you...
