You should not have to buy a ticket to hear a Gospel message. I can see taking a free will offering, but to have to buy a ticket is shameful.

I don't believe some people of today would really want to hear what Jesus would have to say about His Word being prostituted by the ones who call themselves 'shepherds'.

I would gladly stand in arms and pay with my life to have the right to hear Jesus speak.

Revelation 22: 17-21

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hi Terrie,love you sister,so please don`t be offended at me asking questions;
I always think,;
Most of these big name preachers are presented to us as teachers of Faith,often with regards to finances,yet they never seam to have the faith to offer their teaching free of charge.
I realize that facilities cost money,but why is the onus put upon the little guy to trust God to provide him with the money,and the "Teacher",gets to charge and doesn`t have to trust God at all.
If he really trusted God(I don`t know the guy you speak off,it`s not personally directed at him),then why doesn`t he just pass the plate round and have faith that God will fill it?(With-out coercion,"Let each man give what he has decided in his heart to give").
What I can`t come to terms with is;
If I am a homeless person in the street,and in the greatest need to hear the message,I can`t come in.I simply find it hard to reconcile that with the Gospel.
Like your self sister,I always pay my way through the offering,but I never pay a charge for what,rather ,who,I have access to,free.
Bless you Terrie

i have attended women's bible studies and i've had to pay for work books, the women's retreat is not free either, seminars on how to study the bible was not free, they did come with a lunch included, so i guess that's why they sold tickets for $80, $30, and $20 dollars, the pastor did not charge for his teachings, but the food was not free, we sometimes get guest speakers to come to our church, free of charge, and other times we just have to get tickets.

Life is an adventure.

I would pay to hear Jesus preach even though I feel that he would never want to make a set price for his speaking, Even in his day people would provide his need and God the father would not allow jesus to Charge

Absolutly nothing!

Ones tithes are already supposed to cover that! I would also like to add that ones tithes are already supposed to pay for extra activities, not charging extra for "dinners" etc...

Well like most of us here i dont think that Jesus would charge to hear him preach, but hey if he did id pay,id give whatever i could to listen to the man that would change my life for all eternity. Id even give him my house, all i own, i would lose everything to have a moment with him.That moment,which by the way most of us here have had, those who havnt, that moment is the best day of your life.That one moment when He speaks your spirit leaps, your heart thunps, your soul dances inside of you,everything youve been looking for your whole life is suddenly there, all the answers,I would and have given everything to hear him speak into my life, and iv never looked back.
