This is part of what she just said about Donny [post 156571]: " Well what can I say? I go and LOOK at the blogs this morning, and I see that: Donnny, after being here a couple of days and posing questions to some here, using some of the more 'Anti-Calvinist' classis bible verses, has a SUDDEN REVELATION that well, if you lose your salvation then you really werent saved to begin with... which, by the way is the TYPICAL LINE all Calvinists give. They claim that well ok so its obvious the Bible teaches you can FALL AWAY but then well that has to apply to those who 'werent saved to begin with'. " Did John the Apostle use this typical Calvinist line ? I didn't know the Bible contains " Anti- Calvinist' classic bible verses ". But I do know it contains, the truth about eternal life, and Jesus keeping His sheep saved. " They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. " 1 John 2:19 Claudia.......I think you need to stop using the Bible against itself. It only teaches ONE TRUTH. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 1 Cor. 2: 7 |

OKAY... In keeping with my turning over a new leaf, and trying to be as annoying as possible to Calvinists... I read this... Love your enemies! Do good to them! Lend to them! And don't be concerned that they might not repay. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to the unthankful and to those who are wicked! You must be compassionate, just as the Father is compassionate. Luke 6:35-36 So Here, Godlycook, Have a nice cold glass of Lemonade. ![]()

Claudia on your post [post 156571] you said: " You see, Calvinists think God just decides who to send to Hell and who to Heaven. But also that envelopes just the overall picture of God that I believe is WRONG. " What do you think about what Peter said: 7 " Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone," 8 and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall." They stumble because they disobey the message--which is also what they were destined for. 9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. I'd say its a picture of your rejection of Christ ( the cornerstone ) who is for you, a rock of offense, at which you stumble. Please notice, that Peter ( not Calvin ) said that those who reject Christ ( or fall ) were destined for ( or appointed too ) disobeying the message. Those who believe, are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation; called out of darkness. Was Peter a Calvinist too ? No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 1 Cor. 2: 7

Before, I hadnt even read what you said in your opening post, but now that I read it, IT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL. I never said Paul was a Calvinist. Thats ridiculous. Its like you just make stuff up out of the sky. Oh on second look I SEE, you just took PART of what I said to make it appear as if I said that. TYPICAL for a Calvinist. You cannot deal in HONEST DISCUSSION. Its impossible for you. I wonder why? Could it be that you have NO BIBLE SUPPORT for your theories? I think thats the case.

You cannot deal in HONEST DISCUSSION. Its impossible for you. I wonder why? Could it be that you have NO BIBLE SUPPORT for your theories? I think thats the case. In reality they are classically twisted Bible verses, which you ( and some others ) think support your humanistic view of man, and his ability to save himself, by keeping the law and doing good works. You consistently use verses which clearly describe the actions of false teachers, the unregenerate, devils and the like and then say " look this proves that Calvinism is a lie ". When all you've really done; is to make Jesus and the Apostles look like liars, who were confused at best. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 1 Cor. 2: 7
