Those were the words of Rep. Joe Wilson during President Obama's health care address. Now, I've been around for a while, and I've never witnessed such behavior during a Presidential address before congress ( boos maybe, but not calling the President a liar ). It was a very blatant form of disrespect toward the President.......something he's been getting from the conservative talk radio shows; since his election. But is that sort of behavior a congressman should display before congress ? Even if Joe was correct, he wasn't allowed to shout " You lie ! " from the floor of the house, during the Presidents speech. I've never seen anything like it. On top of that, Joe misspoke.......because the health bill reform bill doesn't allow coverage for illegals. There is a lot of lying being done by the conservatives ( the liberals lie too ) at the expense of respect; for the President more than what's actually in the Bill. It's really a shame when protesters ( who listen to conservative talk shows ) hold up signs which read " Death to Obama ", because of what they hear on the talk shows. They don't bother to check out the facts. Instead of listening to the talk shows ( which today have excused Joe's outburst ), they should watch CSPAN ( where there is no commentary ) you get to hear what's actually being said. We need to pray for President Obama. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 1 Cor. 2: 7 |

Steve, I am definitely praying for Obama. I was so thrilled for a black "please forgive me if this is not the right term" man to become President. I remember the night when the news proclaimed his election. I thought to myself, " Finally, the issue of race in our country will be gone. Perhaps now, as Martin L. King stated, "Men of all color will "worship" together and see the glory of the Lord revealed." But now I have my doubts, I read where on a recent trip to Turkey Obama stated that we are not a Christian nation, or a Jewish nation, or a Muslim nation, but a nation of people with ideals and values". I don't know if this was true or not, but I do pray for President Obama and that God will guide him.

I agree. What a shame. I was not a fan of Obama much but I see he will bring some good things to the table. First of all, the nations are fed up with our middle-age middle-class war-mongering white men that have been in charge for soo long. Secondly, many things in the works will benefit our country. I pray for President Obama as well. The facts? The general public is very unaware of most facts because the average guy is busy trying to make a living and comes home to watch sports and relax while the media spoon feeds us what they think is right for the moment. In any case, there should be common courtesy shown to President Obama.  Romans 14 verse 5 One person regards one day holier than other days, and another regards them all alike. 3 Each must be fully convinced in his own mind.

The most disturbing thing yet, is that there are no CODE OF EHTICS when the media is involved... Rom. 5:8 while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
