ONCE AGAIN.......CLAUDIA

Once again Claudia put up a post........only to delete it. Another post on losing salvation ( of course ), and it started off with the question ( and answer ):

" CAN I LOSE MY SALVATION.......YOU BET I CAN "

Her proof text was taken from 1 Cor. 10:6-12, that came with her admonition to " read this carefully ". She got four responses ( two from me ) as of last night, none of which were rude, mean or degrading in any way. So, why did she deleted it ? The only reason I can come up with, is that none of the responders agreed with her. So, it had to come down. But what does that say about the person who put up the post ? I'm sure she expected some sort of dialogue, maybe not what she hoped for ( agreement ); but she did get a response.

Once again, she took a text out of context to try and prove her point. One of the things I asked her was, " What is the subject of the passage ? ", my other statement was this:

" Claudia......you'd have to prove that God can cease being eternal; before you can convince me that eternal life can stop ( or end, or be given up, or lost ). Christians receive ETERNAL LIFE ( meaning unending life ) for placing their faith in Jesus. And just as God is immutable ( unchanging ) so it is with the gift of ETERNAL LIFE, He freely gave to use who believe and know the truth. That quality of life can never end; because it has been sealed with the indwelling Holy Spirit ( of promise ), with whom, the true believer is held in place. Never to fall away.

" They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. " 1 John 2:19

As they say......the proof is in the pudding. Are you going to delete this one too ? "

And sure enough she did. So, what does that kind of response ( or behavior ) to disagreement say about Claudia ? It says, she can't stand having her teachings challenged. We're just suppose to accept whatever she says, without question. One of the signs of a bad ( or false ) teacher; is they don't like being challenged, to them it shows disrespect for their authority. On the other hand a sound teacher doesn't avoid challenges, questions; or disagreement. Sound teachers will address any sort of challenge head on ( not avoid it ), or refuse to give an answer for the point ( or truth ) they are trying to get across. After all, if you want to consider yourself a good teacher, then you have to be prepared to defend ( and give an answer for ); what it is you're trying to convince others to believe.

GC, I think this subject proves the same as "predestination vs. free will" or "laws vs. grace". We can't really wrap our brains around it, but there are scriptures for both. For this subject, there are exhortations as well as securities. We do well to walk in God.

That being said, these will always be disputable topics, so I'll leave you guys to it.

No dear........once again, the Bible doesn't teach both. I'm on my way to work, I'll explain in more detail later.

I agree. The Scriptures do not conflict with itself. The Holy Spirit is the Author. He did not say one thing and then another. He meant what He said, and said what He meant.

It is our understanding that needs to submit to God. Our minds are at enmity with God!

Godlycook, whatever you explain to her will completely go over her head. 1 Cor. 2:14!

I've tried. But she refuses to obey Scripture and conform her beliefs to the Word of God.

She can't!

Remember...1 Cor. 2:14.

I still am of the opinion that everything and all "apparent" conflicts are a big misunderstanding and the inability of expressing oneself well on writing! (Including tone inflection, meaning of words (concepts) and other stuff!) Not to mention the INDWELLING of the HOLY SPIRIT talking on the believer's behalf!

It's that EGO-fleshy identity that always gets in between!!! Therefore, even if anything is written in the BOOK, word by word, it doesn't function because it is NOT uttered in the RIGHT spirit!

Still there is a biiiiiiiiig difference, between arguing, discussing, dialoguing, exchange opinions. As there is referring to Scriptures in faith, unselfishly, or historically, or scholarly, or by an unbeliever that has no clue about "the spiritual things"!

Claudia accuses other of not being able to dialogue, but ironically she CAN'T dialogue herself! At least what it is meant with really dialoguing!

To be able to talk with her, one must accept that "keeping the Sabbath" is the only right way to be a God follower!

Because for her, the Sabbath keeping is ONE of the Commandments!
"Keep my commandments", she finds in the Scriptures! Therefore IF you DON'T keep the Sabbath as the Jews did/do, you're not walking with God!

So simple as that!

Another thing I've been pondering and I would like to add is:

Why always be so engaged in discussing the "being saved", when it is something that one only can grasp with true faith enlightenment?

We all know it now: It's not about works, or conditions or anything else... than His MERCY undeserved to ANYONE!!! It is not even so important keeping on discussing GRACE on a "higher level of faith"!!! One knows! One hopes! One believes! One is resigned to one's own destiny!!! One makes the best of it, AND... teaches other to ABANDON their LIVES into the mercy of the LORD!!!

Guys, once for all, we CAN'T DO NOTHING more than that!!! How hard is it actually to understand???????????????

And... (in Claudia's style)

... "BY THEIR FRUIT YOU WILL KNOW THEM"!!! Meaning: the way they behave, write, talk, treat others, handle controversies, etc. etc.

THE FRUITS ( i.e. how one ALWAYS behaves, in ALL occasions, circumstances and trials in life) SHOW INEXORABLY IF ONE IS SAVED OR NOT, AS BEING WORTH AT ALL FOR ANY POSSIBLE SAVING!!!

What else should it be??? A LOTTERY? GOD FORBID!

So simple as that, as much as so unfathomable as that!

Example...The prodigal son... The father watched for him everyday. He knew he would be back, because he was his son...

The son couldn't even get I'm sorry out of his mouth before the father was yelling orders to get the robe and ring, because he was his son...

Altho the son did suffer for his actions, he could do nothing when he came back to be any more the father's son than he was the day he left, because he was his son...

We are sons and daughters, if we believe in the Only Begotten Son. Sons and daughters of the Everlasting Father.

I've had the prodigal experience, and don't want to ever do that again. I had been denying him in my actions. And He took me back, and I guess I'd been beat up by the world enough, because God didn't punish me anymore when I came back. He healed me. I love Him

While I was attending college, my English professor told me that I don't have a problem with expressing myself in writing ( or verbally ), so who are you addressing ? You're right about people ( without the Holy Spirit ), not being able to comprehend the Bible or its meaning. These same people reject the gospel message, no matter if it's found on the pages of Holy Scripture, or if preached by a messenger sent by God.......no matter how eloquently presented be it written or spoken. They will refuse to hear, see or receive it.

Would you prefer I call you Steve or Godlycook? Or prefer that I not call you.lol

All this is very simple, I did a post about it. Christians should be of one Spirit, Jesus prayed for us to be one. Just as He and the Father are One.
The reason everyone doesn't agree is because there are various levels of maturity writing these blogs.
I tend to think a person's maturity level is defined by how much influence the Holy Spirit has over them. Any regenerated believer does have the Holy Spirit in them, but there are different degrees of influence in each person. (if you are wondering, yes I believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit being different from the Baptism of Repentance.)

God only gave me a love for Scripture after I reached a certain maturity level.
Now here is the reason this happened and why it is relevant. He knew that once I knew truth, I would tell everyone. So He didn't want me in Scripture until I reached a point in my maturity to be able to have a Spirit-led understanding of Scripture. So I don't understand it from man's understanding, but rather from His Understanding.

The Holy Spirit spoke the Word to It's authors, so He knows it. But a lot of understanding here is from the human understanding of His Word.
Just like the Pharisees, Isiah clearly described Christ. But they did not have the Holy Spirit to interpret.

So some people don't wait for the maturity level necessary to understand Scripture and instead of listening to their pastor, they try to understand it on their own. This is what leads to error. They are not being led by God, they are trying to jump ahead of Him. Been there done that.

Are you suggesting that the pastor is always right, and the sheep can't properly hear from God? I thought God gave wisdom to anyone that would ask, and light sufficient to our need. We should each seek to hear personally from God as we ourselves read scriptures. What I'm reading in your post is that you don't believe we should be outside of our pastor's comprehension. Where does that leave our personal walk then?

Dear Godlycook,

You charge me with be dishonest, I am NOT dishonest.

I have already (underline the word ALREADY) told you that I CANNOT manage to have a decent CIVILIZED conversation with YOU because of the way that you ACT towards me.

You take EVERYTHING I say and twist and distort it.

THAT IS WHY I do not have conversations with you anymore.

UNDERSTOOD?

and I had deleted my comments solely because I was SICK of the continual garbage that goes on here.

NOW, lets get this straight man, for you to CONSTANTLY ACCUSE ME of the various things that you accuse me of IS WHATS DISHONEST, because I have TOLD YOU why I do as I do.

You however, continue to try to SET YOURSELF ON THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF GOD and judge and condemn me.

Evem when I try my best to say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to people like YOU and like GODWHISPERS, you KEEP THIS GARBAGE GOING!

It is just UNBELIEVABLE!

its like you people just WANT something, ANYTHING to bicker about!

I dont particularly LIKE argueing and bickering. I prefer to state what I think and/or believe and leave it at that.

IS THAT ALRIGHT WITH YOU?

Seriously, its like some of you think you CONTROL THE UNIVERSE.

Now cant you just plain LEAVE ME ALONE?

Please???

You know how you acted, over on Sensory's blog about Once Saved Always Saved, all I did was give A SIMPLE BIBLE PASSAGE, with not even a comment to go with it, and you accused me of being TRECHEROUS.

Im not going to try to enter into a CHRISTIAN DISCUSSION with people like you.

You and GodWhispers and Jeremiah1five can just go on RANTING AND RAVING about me.

But its RIDICULOUS.

I mean seriously, if I say something on my blog and you want to take issue with it, heres what you do ok?

1. Say that Claudia said this or that and quote it,

2. Say you take issue with what Claudia said,

3. SIMPLY STATE WHY out of the SCRIPTURES what you think is wrong with it.

You dont need to ACCUSE AND CONDEMN me. You dont need to BULLY ME.

Can you please try to manage that?

Id certainly appreciate it.

Now, Im trying to just keep to MYSELF but its almost as if YOU and GODWHISPERS cant cope with it so you want to start up some NEW TROUBLE.

Would you please find SOME OTHER SCAPEGOAT?

Heres and idea for you, Steve,

YOU STATE YOUR VIEWS ON YOUR BLOG!

This is a prime example of how you get yourself in trouble. You put up a post ( which you took down ) spewing out your false doctrine of losing salvation. I responded ( because you didn't block me ) and asked you a question; but instead of you being honest, and answering the question........you deleted the post. What are you trying to hide ? Every-time someone exposes what you do, you either threaten to leave, delete the post or say that you're being picked on. If you can't stand the heat; stay out of the kitchen.

If you don't want to have these conversations, why do you keep showing up ( on my blog ) complaining ? Stop calling me out ( by accusing me of promoting sin )........if you don't like what you get back.

The Bible does not teach once saved always saved. The early Church did not teach that. Sola Fide is a tradition that came from private interpretation of the scriptures. People have free will, Saint Paul says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, he does not say that salvation is completely worked out for you so just sit back and enjoy the ride.
