Nah. He just thinks if he repeats things long enough others will start to believe his rants. There are always a few weakminded people to do so.

but

...hint, hint, you haven't responded to the 'latest' comments in your 44th President thread and your Fixed Election thread.

Well we find another point of agreement with each other Steve The people of the United States have spoken overwelmingly with their votes in this years election! I as you know am not one who favored Barak Obama but he is still the newly eclected President to be in 2009, my president, your president, Dennis's president too! We need to pray for God to guide him in the days ahead so our land will continue to be blessed and we need to give him our support and truly hope he will do good things for the people of this land. That doesn't mean we will not voice our concerns or opposition to his plans in the future but we must allow him to his rightful position as the leader of this nation and we must also be careful of any critissim in how we may disagree not disrespecting the office of the presidency or making degrading personal attacks on him/her because God tells us to obey and pray for our govermental authoritys. Yes He is the one that ultimately put's up and brings down who He wills but until Jesus comes back and sets up His kingdom we don't know one way or another as time goes on what persons God may lift up or bring down to accompliss eternal plans leading to the rise and fall of anti christ and the return of His Son Jesus Christ. You don't have to agree with the leaders or the direction they want to take this country and it's ok to desent through the polictical processes of this democracy but we should always be respectful of the high office of the president, who ultimitly placed him/her there, and refrene from making degrading personal attacks. I like very much the graeious speeches that John McCain & President Bush made in congradulating President elect Barak Obama.

Steve as often times that I do I post something and right afterwards see I missed something I wanted to say or add to and delete and repost again. I did 3 times on this post and sometimes later the deleted posts will show up afterwards anyway so if they do would please delete any other than this one? TY

These posts made to discuss people are rather in poor taste to me. If indeed someone desperately needs prayer, that is evident to all. No need to make a post about it. It acts as a slam wagon.

The types of posts that have very pure motives are most obvious as well.

I didn't ask for any comments about Dennis..... I asked for prayer for Dennis. He has begun using racist bigoted phrases, perhaps you missed them.

Now I'm cranky.......I'm not the one upset about my candidate loosing the election. I'm not the one making comments which contain racial overtones. You have yet to correct Dennis nor have you spoken out against any of his harsh words. I'm beginning to think you agree with him, and no I'm not cranky, but Dennis' words are hurtful to people; and he needs to stop with the lies.

Actually, if Dennis has gone into resignation over the presidential vote, then his current blogs would be an effort to keep our eyes open. Now that would be commendable, since we also appear to have a large number of anti-christ and freemasonry blogs going up.

As a footnote, we shouldn't be picking sides. We should simply be defending what we believe.

Kim I don't think you understand the seriousness of the situation. Dennis' repeated use of the phrase " I wish he ( Obama ) would choke on a chicken bone ", is a racist slur and is similar to using the " N " word!!! I ( as I'm sure, as well as many other blacks here ) don't think its funny.

Dennis needs to apologize for his repeated harsh and offensive comments. If you think this is funny, you need to apologize as well. When politics has that kind on effect on a person ( as it does on Dennis ); they need to step away from it, and find something else to do. Some people here need to stop defending him, because of the appearance of agreement.

Once again Dennis needs prayer, for his ungodly behavior......not jokes!!

In Dennis' defense (and I will continue to defend him), he quite clearly stated he's not against Obama because he's black. There is a very long list of "reasons" why he's against him going into power. For these reasons, he should continue in his defense of right from wrong. As a man believing in the opposition party, I defend his right to free speech.

I wonder what a prayer should sound like appealing to God to remove someone from power. It wouldn't be for showers of blessings.

I trust Dennis will continue on in the strength of yoking to the opposition party. To this, I would say that Dennis is in biblical submission to the governing authorities, to the extent that the opposition still has their place in the political ladder.

Psalms 1: 1 - Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

This is one of those difficult-to-know-what-to-pray. If all are supposed to do the will of God, then every prayer should focus on being led to repentance and get purified in order to let the Holy Spirit "work" on someone, so he/she can "see & hear & do"...

On the other side, there must always be somewhat "act of will" (predisposition) involved also in the person one prays for, for acceptance and remorse of having done something wrong...

How can one ever be forgiven of what one has done if one isn't willing to accept one's fault???

Therefore a prayer in this case should ONLY focus on praying God to work on the person in question, IN ORDER FOR HIM TO RECOGNIZE HIS FLAWED THOUGHTS AND THEN REPENT.

If anyone has some suggestions of how wording a prayer, please contribute.

Please, let's not mix politics with Christianity! (I even made a blog about that!)

Jesus' spirit would NEVER and COULD NEVER say:
"I wish Caesar drops dead..."
or "he's not EVEN Jew or born of Jews!!!

There is a substantial difference here!!!

The following proverb may also apply here:

What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over.

Unfortunately my eye happened to see, and in our context it's the Spirit that grieves, (not mine)!

In Christ, our Lord.

Steve, cant you overlook a fault? Dennis is from the south, and you are more mature than that to get offended. Its not as if he were posting KKK material. He is upset, blinded by his nationalism.

I am sure many other white folk are upset. They are ignorant is all.
Dennis has called me names before and I just laughed it off. Gordy rails at me all the time but I still share the word with him. I think you as the more spiritual one should be the one to humble yourself. Just my opinion and if you cant take a joke...maybe you are blinded by your zeal for your race?

We have to move in an attitude of forgiveness, and Dennis has considerably calmed down. I've already lifted up prayer on numerous occasions, and I've addressed hatred along with the contentions from others as well, not just Dennis. On numerous occasions I've sought to bring reason to the contentions.

Mixing politics and Christianity? Will not politics affect our Christianity in the end? We are to be Christian whether we're dealing with politics or any other area of our lives. Dennis has a right to be heard, as does Steve or you or Kim or anyone else.

Again, I wonder what constitutes a proper attitude, as Galatians 5: 12 reads: "I wish that those who are troubling you would even mutilate themselves". You can't fault Dennis for having strong emotion. I just ask that he be before God.

L4M:

Paulus is in praxis saying the same things I have been saying: Walk in the Spirit and don't forget the Gospel! But the context of his writ is only considering "religious" matters. Especially in Gal. 5 the subject is circumcision. Also besides the currents of false teachers, like Judaisiers, libertinism and other cultures' influences, there is an allusion in verse 12 of the cult of Kybele and Attis. (You can look for more details about their customs.)

Cut-off, mutilate, or emasculate (castrate) is a verb that implies doing the action "on oneself", I would add, willingly. Therefore it's not an action of violence due anger.

But Paul sounds "angry" for the reason mentioned: Don't mess with what is the Core!

The Christians in Christ are free from the yoke of bondage of the Law and religious prescriptions, but should also keep watching that with this liberty they wouldn't become like wild animals "biting and devouring" one another and therefore following their evil nature: the flesh. The Spirit makes free.

Shalom!

Do you follow baseball? Back in the late 80's Jerry Ruess who was blond and blue eye and Reggie Smith who was black and pretty hot headed at times were very best of friends on the Dodgers. Reggie blew out his rotator cuff in his arm and required suregery at Centinellia hospital in L.A. Well what I am about to tell you was in the L.A. Times sport section. Jerry went to Reggies room one day after the surgery carrying a large watermeolon and a bucket of chicken and the report was Reggie nearly fell out of bed dying of laughter. No one in the black community throughout L.A. were offendant by this and knew it wasn't done in hatered but only to make his best friend laugh and he did and so did everyyone reading the articule. Kim was just having fun at the on going innorrance of Dennis and not being hateful or condoning the remark and neither was I.

Biting and devouring is unsavoury from anyone. Doesn't change the fact that there was ill will in the bible wished on those that were disturbing those of the faith, and that came from a Christian. We don't need to understand the depths of a passage to understand a straight forward truth.

Beyond speaking what we believe is right and lifting up prayer, we have to leave our fellow Christians to God. We can't force someone to be where they're not. Beyond that, we ought to encourage one another for good choices, and defending your beliefs is one of them.

Kim I don't care where Dennis is from, that has nothing to do with, who he professes to belong to ( Christ ), and he should be mature enough, as not to be insensitive of the feelings of others ( its not just me, he has offended ).

In his anger ( he wasn't joking ) he made this comment ( repeatedly ), once was bad enough; but to keep saying it again and again is not only careless, it also shows his disrespect of others. Calling for the death of the newly elected President, was bad enough and he needs to be careful of his words; because he could end up with the secret service ( or F.B.I ) knocking on his door.

It is because I'm mature; that I'm confronting Dennis on his character ( " if you see a brother commit a sin " ), it goes deeper than just a " Fault ", as you put it. Dennis' anger is getting the best of his, and winning.

I do believe I'm helping him by being supportive. I'm pointing him towards prayer and God's counsel, and I'm helping him to find a constructive way to deal with what he believes. I encourage him for right choices.

A gentle answer turns away wrath. You, on the other hand, throw stones and return insult for insult. Your way, it's just another fight.

He doesn't need one more person attacking him. You're trying to force him to accept the president. Somebody needs to believe in Dennis.

Greg.........just goes to show, you really need to pay attention to what others say. Much of what Dennis is saying, should be taken as a warning. People who commit suicide often say things; that others ignored, and had they paid closer attention, a tragedy might have been avoided. I'm not saying that Dennis may kill himself; but the language he has been using, could be a sign of an attempt on the Presidents life. Think that sounds far fetched ? I've been paying close attention, to what Dennis has be posting on his blog ( and others ) and when he can refer to the President as the Fuhrer or Hitler, he can ( if unchecked ) use these same ideologies; to justify assassinating the President. Many an assassin, thought he was doing something good, when killing a political leader.

As for the racial slur, we aren't talking about two friends, who were joking with each other, that I could laugh at. But what Dennis is saying is a bad omen. Pray for him and if you are his friend ( and he'll listen to you ); talk to him. You may save a live.

GOOD GRIEF...I am inclined to think Obama could possibly be the anti christ and you are on Dennis's case for his stupid remarks. Go figure. The man is white as well and has an Islamic name, cushy with Rick Warren and all the other ecumenical sects, Liberal not only politically but religiously, but you are right, a racial slur is wrong...but the Fuhrer remark...well thats debatable. If the guy gets a mortal head wound(probably an assassination attempt) will you still be riding the Obama band wagon???? The CIA would be at every kookie red necks door if they went after Dennis.

I too am wondering why everyone's down on Dennis if there's the belief that Obama is the antichrist. If Dennis is fervently trying to warn us, why are we so adament to silence him, unless we wanted the antichrist. Again, Steve, in reading your post in one of sweethoney's threads, you suggest people should feel stupid for not wanting Obama in power if it's time for antichrist. Christians shouldn't want antichrist in power, period. And I'm appalled at the thought that we dare not speak against antichrist in our own Christian community.

Yes, Dennis needs to deal with his hatred, but shall we love the man of perdition now!!???? Just where are you people??

Kim have you been paying attention to what I've said ? I'm not riding the Obama band, I've been telling people ( including Dennis ) to stop trusting politicians and start trusting God. Dennis is a prime example, of what happens to those who get caught up in, whose sitting in the White House.

Don't jump the gun.

Dear Lord, I pray for Dennis in Jesus name. I bring him to your throne and ask that you would release to him your mercy and your grace. He is hurting right now and does not know how to handle his disappointment. Help him to trust that you are the God of all kings and put in power whom you call, as your word says, sometimes even the basest of men. Please bring reconciliation between Steve and Dennis. Help them to get over their offenses. We love them both lord and would really like to see them brothers again. I ask this from my heart Lord, Amen.

All I have to say is,this website is supposed to be Christian oriented. It is called Bigchurch, right? Can I get a witness??? LOL. First of all, the powers that be are ordained of God.
Secondly,we have always chosen Caucasian President elects.
Thirdly, the first shall be last and the last shall be first.
Fourthly,I haven't been reading Dennis' comments. but if he is making racial remarks about Obama, he'd better be careful. This is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.
Fifthly, I can recall one incident in the bible where a foolish king made a threat to King David and his men because he asked for food for his men; David became so angry that he was going to kill this rude king but his wife who was very wise, told the servants to take David and his men food without her husband knowing it. therefore she saved her husband's life. The husband was drunk that night but the next morning his wife told him what could have happened to him and it shocked him so much until he died. One should be careful what threats they make towards people. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Like my mother used to say, you can wake in hell if you are not careful.
Dennis does need prayer and I will pray for him for real.
I don't know whether God has allowed Obama in the White House to be a blessing to us or to chastise us and bring us back to a true and living God.
God uses people to do His work.
We must pray because we don't know what God is doing right now, but it seems that there are more people for Obama than against him.
I am so happy that he is our President elect-soon to be The President of these United States!
My prayer is: Father make us one.........

Dennis didn't make any threats. He merely wished him ill will. He's against Obama because of what he believes in, not because of his color. I believe Obama has his designated time in office. I pray he does what's sound and not just whatever he wants. Everyone needs to be under advisement. It was nice to see your post.

Thanks for stopping by and offering to pray for Dennis. BC isn't a Christian web-site, its a religious web-site; made up of all sorts of religious beliefs. Even among those who profess to be Christians, there are many strange beliefs.

Perhaps you and Dennis should read Matt. 5:43- 47

" You have heard that it was said, ' Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. ' But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

If you love those who love you, what reward will you get ? Are not even tax collectors doing that ? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others ? Do not pagans do that ? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. "

Wishing ill-will toward anyone ( especially the President ), is no way to show others that you belong to God the Father.

Steve, we know that you can find error with everything we do, so you can forever point out our shortcomings. I'm sure we're well aware of them, and those that are truly in Christ readily recognize that we can't fulfill the laws. We have the grace to be honest with God and man. Anything less, and you're just a legalistic hypocrite thumping on God's word. God accepts us, flaws and all. Take that to your bible and study.

You say some of the most interesting things...... " legalistic hypocrite thumping on God's word ". The text I quoted has nothing to do with keeping laws, but everything to do with the sign of Christian character. Those who really belong to God, don't express hatred toward those they consider their enemies, by wishing they would die. Pagans do that sort of thing; but Christians live by a higher principle. You should try it sometime.

My greatest apologies if you took offense. Today was the only time I didn't put energy into my choice of words. As I said, my work took priority over my choice of words today.

And I didn't wish ill will on anyone. I'm just gracing someone with the right to have their feelings. God speaks to His people soon enough without you badgering. Maybe you could cut people a little bit of slack. Otherwise we get the "Steve's thumping again" scenario.

And I kind of think you're taking this personally because you feel connected to Obama being black. So maybe you should reassess.

Trying to get you to see things from God's perspective, is like trying to get an ape to see things from a human perspective. You just can't see it. I've been a Christian for more than 30 years, and during that time; I've never referred to anyone, who declares the word of God, as a " Bible thumper ". However, people who object; when Christians use the Word of God, to rebuke, correct, teach, etc; show their unwillingness to obey, by following, and submitting to the teachings of Holy Scripture.

You claim to be a teacher, real teachers ( who have been appointed by God ) don't take such a disrespectful view of God's Word, and those who declare it. Its clear that you don't like being told the truth, and your constant refusal to submit to God's Word ( while making things up as you go along ) shows your disdain, not only for the people of God, who take a stance on God's Word; but your distain for God's Holy Word itself.

I could present more scripture, but I know it would be a waist of time, and you'd only come up with another way to skirt around it; rather than submit to it, by accusing me of " thumping the Bible ". I take the Bible personal, and I strive to obey it, and I have no connection to Obama; but I do feel that he's more connected with you.

Steve, it's God who convicts of sin. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

I never defended Dennis' choice of words or even his countenance. I asked him to be before God over it, to stay within his sanctions within the structure of the government, and I encouraged him to stay true to God. You demanded he yoke under Obama. My defense of Dennis was to protect him from your slander, because you were accusing him of things I didn't see him do.

You're attacking me as though I'm the one that said these things. I merely asked someone to acknowledge his feelings before God, to walk after God's counsel, and to be true to himself.

Everyone is at their own stage of growing in faith. We all experience times of victory and times of falling short of the righteous walk. When we fall short of the righteous walk, we live by grace. Anyone who seeks to be justified by the laws is severed from Christ.

God's word says be angry, yet do not sin. Even angry, we're children of God, and I believe Dennis gained control of his emotions, and presented what he sees as true. Now there's nothing to correct in that.

I believe between your demeaning and my encouraging, Dennis faired better under my counsel, and not yours. I'll say it again. You come as a noisy gong, where people need the compassions of forgiveness in Christ. I have yet to see you present grace in Christ for a sin or a wrong belief. Rather, you start name calling, saying people are stupid, etc. etc. Even in my apology, you're throwing stones. Please check your spirit.
