THE ELECTION IS FIXED!!!!
godlycook 11/2/2008 11:15 am

The day after the election is over; there will be many disappointed people. They will feel anger, remorse and sadness. What everyone needs to understand is, the election was fixed, from the very beginning. Do I mean that the Electoral College was fixed ? No.

The election was fixed; because God had already chosen, who would become the next President of the United States. In spite of our stances on abortion, taxes, war, and the economy; God's Choice stands firm. Even though you may not like whoever wins this election; as an American law bidding citizen; it is your duty to submit, to the governing authorities. Even if you don't like them.

I'm sure many of you here at BC have objections to what I just said. If you do, then you'd better change your way of thinking.

" Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. "Rom. 13:1

Did you get that ? Every authority is appointed by God. In that sense the election, is already fixed; because God is putting the one He wants to rule in office. He doesn't vote conservative Republican or liberal Democrat; His plan is not our plan. So, the day after the election; don't fret. God always wins.

God raises up evil rulers for his purposes, we are to be subject as far as is possible as long as man's law does not trangress Gods word. Subject does not mean being subject to slavery, murder of the innocent, corruption, ect. Jeremiah spoke out aginst ungodly rulers by commission of God.

Romans 13.7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

So, we should pay our taxes, fear and honour our rulers and obey them unless we are sure that they are wrong. Rulers are subject to God. So if they are wrong, we should do as the bible says in Acts 5.29 - We ought to obey God rather than men.

loki2007......... God selects rulers, and gives them the power to rule. Some are good rulers, others are bad rulers.....but both do the Lord's bidding.

Kim the text isn't addressing evil or good rulers ( but that their authority was put in place for our good ), we are to submit ( same word used in Eph, 5:22 telling wives to be subject, to their husbands ) as a soldier, to his commanding officer. Yet the only exception would be; if the civil authority, would insist on disobedience to God's written Word. Paul doesn't address that point. One of the primary goals of government is to punish evil doers; hence capital punishment. If we don't want to become victims of such civil punishment, we should be the most law-abiding citizens on the planet.

Well I'm not one of them because I too believe God's will is being done no matter which person we want in office personaly and I have always recpected the office of the Presisdency no matter whose elected even though I may mot agree with his policys. He's still our president for better or for worse elected by the people.

Well..... if there was not civil disobedience my dear, you would still be sitting at the back of the bus. We can protest about ungodly matters in a free society. That is legal. So is complaining, warning, giving information about whats going on to make others aware. I submit to the word of God and not to man...you can twist it to mean what you want BUT I have confidence in what I feel the word says about the submission issue. As I will probably not be marring you then I must answer to God alone about it, shan't I?

Kim you have a few things wrong here.

1. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and never had to sit in the back of a bus.

2. As Christians we shouldn't take part, in such practices as the Liberal civil rights movement of the 60's. Being able to sit in the front of the bus; doesn't make anyone free. Freedom is only found in Christ.

3. The punishment Paul is addressing has to do with things like, refusing to pay taxes, murder, stealing, rape, robbery. Any who commit such crimes can expect to be punished, by the government........thats who the jails are built for, and thats who can expect to be executed ( in this context ) for their evil doing.

4. You seem to have a problem with submission.

Kim if slavery is evil, why did God give laws to the Jews; for the proper treatment of their slaves ( or servants ) ? Nowhere does the N.T. attack slavery, and the Gospel is not to be confused with social reform. Paul's letter to Philemon is an excellent example, of what happens; when God changes the hearts of slave-masters and slaves.

Okay Steve, this really was hard to do - go back into politics and search for a quote, but here:

Your post:
What are you going to do, if you wakeup on November 5th and Obama is the newly elected President? Move to Canada ? The way its looking as of now, Obama is going to win, no matter how much you try to bad mouth him. As a matter of fact, the more people bad mouth Obama; the further he moves ahead in the polls. No matter who you or I would like to see in the White House, God has the final say. He'll put the one He wants in office.

I admit, this subject is beyond anything I care to understand, so maybe I did take THIS out of context, but sounded like you were suggesting Obama's in no matter what, and then you referred to God's will.

Just the way I took it. Maybe you could elaborate. Thanks.

Well, Steve if slavery was not evil then Jesus would not have come to die for slaves to the sin nature, now would he??? God may allow evil to exist but he does not like it. He allows it to show the contrast between his goodness and the devil's deviant nature. God told Hosea to mary a hooker but does that mean God sanctions prostitution???? Slavery is a part of the curse of the law in which Christ redeemed his sheep. Now under Christ all are equal, sola scriptura! Why does Paul say that if one can be free...then be free...because it is the better way. If you think Slavery is ok well I suggest that you watch the Roots series.

I Cor. 7:21-24

Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

Romans 13:1 I really wonder these days why so many Christians can't seem to get that verrse through their thick heads.

Prayer can do wonders, we have to except who God has installed as our President, and then Jump into our prayer closet and pray for him, not against him, but truely and honestly FOR him. For his safety, his decision making, his family and his salvation.

I feel God is testing the Christians in the USA with President Obama, do they really believe God is in control? Or do they believe in man and Man's control?

Are Christian's allowing human nature to control their feeling's? Or God's nature to control them?

This is a testing period, Are you living in the flesh? or in the Spirit?

Prophecy must be fulfilled - God IS in control!

If we are seeing the start of the end times, is your faith strong enough to survive?
