I really did try to get my kids to go to school this morning. Really! Chris insisted that his throat hurt and that he was really nauseous all night. Zach had been sneezing and coughing a lot yesterday. The main reason they stayed home, though, was because I couldn't figure out how to get them up. I even washed Chris' face and it didn't help. I called the doctor and had the nurse call me back. I described they symptoms both of the boys had been having all week last week. She told me that they probably did have swine flu....that it's really spreading fast. She told me that about ninety percent of the kids that have been in the office lately have had swine flu and that it isn't really that big of a deal. She said that if they didn't have a fever for 24 hours that they would be fine to go back to school. So, tomorrow, they're going to school. I called my dentist, too. My tooth has really been bugging me. I think it's effecting how I think and everything. They had me scheduled to come in after ten. I decided to go jog my mile before I went to the dentist, so I went to the Y, then came back home to check on the boys. I called them in sick, then went to my dentist appointment. The dentist took some x-rays and said it didn't look like I had an abscess and he said I already had a root canal on that tooth. They had to take more pictures, but finally they saw something, I think, because they put me on antibiotics and codeine. He told me to come back in a week so he can see how I'm doing. I'm glad I might not have to get a cap, but I had it all figured out how I was going to pay that dentist bill. I canceled Chris' appointment for a med eval. He hasn't had any more anxiety attacks, anyway, so maybe he doesn't need meds. Besides, I couldn't wake him up. Then, Z came over. It had been a couple of months since we took care of him. He's still a good boy. I spent a couple of hours while he was here, trying to get Chris to do his homework. Wow, that's hard. Not the homework. That's fairly easy. What's hard is getting him to do it. I had to handfeed him his algebra questions while he was trying to watch a movie. Then, one of his assignments was too write twenty facts about a famous Hispanic person. I looked up notable Hispanic/Americans and saw that Jaci Valesquez was one of them, so I clicked on her name. I love her singing. I have a couple of her CDs. It was fun finding out that she's made so many and won so many awards. I hope Chris gets that assignment done tonight. |

Unfornately a few years ago too our famous talk show hosts had many callers very very upset about that singer because she came on a movie that was totally anti-christian, and I can't say the rest about her.

That book I had chardshan would have been a good read for you since it talked a lot about kids your son's age and how their brains function. Unfornately again I knew chris the hard way but he does listen and he does achieve like normal kids. And the conclusion I still make after reading this almost 400 page book in 3 hours was that sometimes you can't blame the students. We need to blame the schools in this capitalistic society. I know here I go again and this capitalistic society almost broke the economy. Millions lost jobs at the expense of companies being so called innovative. The book basically said the surroundings which include everything around children affect their perception. He needs to trust you and needs to trust those around him but he doesn't feel less worried when he has a lot of responsibilities at home. He just entered a new world in school and is just beginning to adjust to it so somehow you are going to have to prove to him learning stuff quick is important if he is going to make important right decisions in the future. The schools have kids slaves to them with homework and competition which is really not the best way to learn stuff. Basically the teachers are so lazy they can't show the shortcuts of learning and believe me competition is all wrong. Learning is all right. But since we have no option sometimes you are going to have to try hard and convince him that it's better learning everything fast because in the real world there are going to be tougher situations. Believe me.

In other words come back in a week so they can charge you more money for something they can tell you the first time. Oh the other night was very insightful in the chat room. I never seen so many bullies peacefully talk about the bible, so please help the peace and show that we should value studying and knowing the bible. Being self controlled and open minded is the key to learning about God. I hope you don't sit anymore and wonder what you should be doing because it's all WRITTEN ON THE WALL. We should be thankful for the extra time and make peace with both our friends and enemies, not to mention too uphold godliness especially in this season of hopelessness and risky human behavior.

Chardshan, you didnt email bob none of these messages that prove i'm right. Why can't neither of you address my verses first???????????? Why do you expect me to even read what you sent me if you won't think for yourself and copy and paste what i said here and send it to him. Friendship is a give and take. Like you said yourself, the Golden rule. Obviously if you show me you don't care about 99 percent of what i write about why do you expect me to take you seriously at all? Is this a game you are playing. You never heard of being fair or not rude when life is not only about oneself. you seem to want people to go against the law of the prophets which says treat people how you want to be treated. in other words you are being very mean by avoiding the verses i give and then expect me to not act like you do. I don't know why Christianity is not calculating in your brain. I just explained it to you so correctly that Jesus is the Son of God. Logic says you are close minded about what the Son of God means, and u feel i should only listen to you when you don't listen to me. and then you don't think for yourself and tell bob who makes up his mind so quick that he forgets all other books in the bible. You are 8th grade and bob is 12th. What happened to america guys. Why is this darkness in people living on like this.
