"In my weaknes He is strong."

"Jesus won the final victory on the cross ".

Salvation is given freely to us when we believe in Him. It's not something given to us because we deserve it due to our deeds and strength - or our high standards and moral.

Strength isn't a question of how many we are the leader of but how many we are able to carry on our shoulders.

We are supposed to be 24/7 servants. So we can only do what's expected of us, never anything more.

Do what you are told to do and then leave the rest to Him; to the Holy Spirit.

We are told to love one another. It's the highest command given to us. And that love for one another is the source of everything else. It's the only pure source.

So what do you say, Mchungaji?

Blessings

Hi Janus.

I respondied to the following you wrote
"GOD DOES NOT TEMPT YOU IN AREAS WHERE YOU ARE STRONG, BUT IN THE AREA WHERE YOU ARE WEAK" which also indicates God is tempting us.

Which He never does.

When responding to something here we can only use what's written as the basis.
ALLOWING temptations is VERY different from TEMPTING us.

It's good to stay clear of falling into temptations and to be aware of sin. To do what's right in His eyes. But no one here on earth will manage to live without sin or live the rest of their lives without sin.
Maybe in our own lives but not in His eyes.

That's why Jesus gave His life for us to save us. And we'll find we keep on needing Him and His sacrifice daily.

Focusing on our selves for becoming free of sin is a waste of time, when so many people STILL haven't even heard of Him or even better MET Him themselves.

Thinking we are to get perfect and THEN He will meet us and be with us is a human way of thinking but not Biblical.

Habari za Yesu? Amefufuka.

Blessings

Hi jamus, scripture does say that Jesus was led by the Spirit to be tempted. What I notice you don't say is that he was tempted by satan.

"Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil." Matthew 4:1

But wait! It's also true that scripture says God tempts no one.

James 1:13-14
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, 'I am tempted by God'; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.

14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.

However dear Christians (and fallible human beings), take heart! For scripture assures us of this:

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

I must say that it seems as though the Bible contradicts itself, and so to confuse the reader (not deliberately) even more, I will quote the Old Testament scripture whereby Yahweh holds claim to the following:

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things." Isaiah 45: 7

God creates evil. Isn't that something.

jamus, thank you for providing the opportunity for Bible study today. Make no mistake, I love Jesus. It's the rest of the Word and a few of His followers that befuddle me!

It's Spanish:

" Interesting topic .: .... God does not tempt anyone. The scriptures say that God does not tend to anyone, nor can he be tempted James 1: 13. In my personal opinion, I believe that God does not tempt anyone to do evil, because He is holy, there is no evil in Him, so from Him evil can not come, yet God, Yes, tests our hearts . The Word says that Jesus was taken into the wilderness to be tested, and then the 'incense' came. Jeremias says that the heart of man is deceitful and perverse, who will know him? I, who scrutinize and taste the hearts says the Lord. The tests help us to know ourselves, it is in the tests that we know ourselves. Peter told Jesus that he would give his life for Him ... because he trusted in his feelings to the Master ... and when the test came he denied it, in his strength he could not sustain himself, although he later repented and when he lived delivered to the direction of the Holy, if he could be faithful, and faithful until the end. In conclusion: I am put to the test in temptations, but in those circumstances I am not alone, because the E.Santo helps me in my weakness and if I fall I have Jesus Christ as my lawyer and intercessor !! "
