When I was in the States about 1980, I stayed in S.F. in a hostel, the street I think was called Van Ness St, not sure, but anyway there were Mexican food vans along the street selling burritos & other yummy stuff. I lived on them for a couple of months, loved the food. The locals at that time called that part of town "The Mexican Quarter." Did you see them or do you know if the vans are still there? Just curious.

Judgement Day will be interesting.

After your reply I took a 'google walk' down Van Ness Ave and I didnt recognise anything much at all. Around address 2151 I saw some old buildings that looked like what I stayed in back then, but it's so different. Nothing is like what I remembered. My mind's eye has a totally different picture to what google has there now. My how things have changed ........ I dont want to look at the google one anymore. I prefer my memories........ sigh..... things change and I cant keep up. The Mexican food vans seem like they are long gone ...... what a pity. My only compensationary thought is that Heaven wont change, and my nostalgia will not be blown away when I finally get home.

Judgement Day will be interesting.

    Quoting  :

Taco Trucks, that's jogged my memory, I recall them being called that now, there were some down Key West as well (probably all over the States I guess).

Hope I make the heavenly feast (still working out salvation with fear and trembling ....)

Judgement Day will be interesting.
