Angels Among Us! True Story

At a family barbecue yesterday, my Uncle shared this story with me about a friend of his. I’ll call him Mike.

Alone in the home after his wife and left for a vacation, Mike went about his normal routine, likely enjoying a little alone time. His reprieve would be short lived however, as one morning he locked up his house and headed to his parked car for his drive to work. Two men approached with baseball bats. Before Mike could react, he was struck on the back of his head. He fell to the ground but instinctively, tried to get back up on his feet. It was then that he was struck a second time with the baseball bat, this time to the front of his head. Despite the fact that there was no getting back up after the second blow, the two men proceeded to stomp and kick Mike mercilessly.

Having already freely offered everything he had, he appealed once more, ‘Here, take everything, just please don’t hit me with that baseball bat again.’ The two men took and ran with everything (wallet, ring, cell phone, etc.) Mike had. Still laid out, bloody, in pain, and too injured to help himself, Mike heard a familiar voice. He recognized it as a friend and neighbor who had recently passed. The voice said, Get your phone out of your pocket. You have to get your phone.” Mike, too weak to audibly reply, thought, “They took my phone.” But once again the familiar voice demanded, “Get your phone out of your pocket.” So Mark managed to reach into his pocket and was astounded to find his cell phone there. He held the phone close to his face but was so blinded by his own blood that he couldn’t dial 911. He tried wiping away the blood but it was no use. He could not see. The voice said, “I’ll dial for you.”

First responders soon arrived followed by paramedics and police officers and Mike, in grave condition, was transported to a hospital. He had been beaten so badly that his body and clothing were saturated with blood. Even his hands were bloody.

Though his recovery has been long and arduous, Mike survived his injuries. Today, he maintains that his assailants HAD taken his cell phone (of this he is 100 percent certain). He further asserts that there was an angel present who spoke to him in the familiar voice of his deceased neighbor and that the angel was also the hand that dialed 911. To support his story, it is reported that paramedics were baffled that everything was covered in blood except Mike’s cell phone. It was without a trace of blood.

While most of us have heard angel stories all of our lives, they never cease to amaze. May this story bless you as sweetly as it blessed me yesterday.

Luke 4:10 KJV
For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

Psalm 34 KJV
The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Blessings.

Note Worthy: It is concluded that the assailants knew Mike would be alone and unable to summons for help because his wife and had innocently announced their vacation on a FB status. Please be careful with those FB status updates.
