    Quoting  :

I do agree with you - and I do not agree with you...

This is somehow complicated but I will give it my best shot.

First I would like to ask the question what it is we have to do so we are ready??

The Bible tells of a man who will make the house clean when his Master comes back. It could indicate that meanwhile he is not doing so much to the house. He is not cleaning it; watering the flowers; changing the bedsheets....
That is not how it is supposed to be.
But maybe he has forgotten why he was told to keep an eye on the house. And maybe he has forgotten what was the purpose of the house...?
What about guests visiting the house? Taking care of the guests and make them feel home?

What I am trying to say is, to me it seems like the church (-es) is using a lot of energy on making the church look nice and clean. Everything should be in a good order, and the gospel singers should really perform well.
The pastor should preach the right and correct gospel, and there should be no wrong-teaching at all. So don't come up with some new/different understanding of how it might be... Of cause there should be no wrong teaching at all...
We should all have the Gifts of the Spirit intended for us. Being in our Ministry... Prophets; Apostles; Teachers; Evangelists; Shepherd.
Speaking in tongues; Healing the sick...

We spend a lot of time looking inwards, to make sure everything is correct and that we all grow and get more mature for the day when...?
What was the purpose for the Church and for the Christians from the beginning?

To me it seems like many churches have forgotten to look outwards towards those who has not yet met Jesus Christ.
We are going for the Gifts of the Spirit, and we use them in our churches. But was that the only original intention with the Gifts of the Spirit?

If I have to wait until there is nothing to be corrected and nothing more to grow to; before I go out and show all the rest of the population on earth who has not met Jesus Christ yet - well then they might have to wait until it is too late to repent...
There will always be points where I can grow ; be corrected or get more mature.
I am not saved because I have come to a point where there is nothing to be corrected. And I am not saved because I have received all the gifts for me from the Holy Spirit.
And I am not saved because I managed to get out and help people to arrange a meeting with Jesus.
I am saved because Jesus died for me, and I believe in He died for me. To pay the depth for me and for everybody else.

But there is a lot of people who have never met him. And there is a lot of people who have chosen not to meet him because of the behaviour of the Christians and the church (-es). Because of the regulations made by the church (-es)/the Christians.

God does not love the Christians. God loves all the creations He made. And He is longing for them finding back to Him. That they will take the sacrifice given for them as theirs.
So He again can be in community with all His creations.
The Bible tells us sin separate us from God. But sin separate God from us too. That is the problem for God. That is why His Son, Jesus, came and gave His life for all mankind.

The ultimate Sacrifice.

What will we do when He comes back and see the house nice and clean - but there has never been any guests there, and there is not a bunch of people standing waiting for His back-coming to the house?

What does it take to go?
Wisdom? God will give us that, He promised. (To know God is the beginning of wisdom.)
Love? God will give us that. (God is the source of love).
Time? God gave us a whole life.
Money? God said He would provide for us.

Willingness? Well that might be the one we will have to add.

Blessings
