Hi User,
I posted this reply on my blog but thought to post it here also so that you know I answered you.

2Thess 2:3 Let no one lead you astray in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction

We see in these last days that the apostasy is being revealed User.

Tis better to go to the Convention personally mate. So you can get the full benefit of the Christian love and brotherhood and hear and see for yourself.
We don't distribute talks other than on the website and on CDs which are available at the Kingdom Hall.
There are a number of reasons for this. One is that by going to Meetings we follow Christs lead in meeting together to give support and encouragement to each other.
Another is our participation in the Meetings and another is our personal learning curve, as it were.
Since we all travel the narrow road at different speeds, as you might say, because our learning is at different levels.

I sure would love it if you could find your Convention time that is nearest to you and attend. You would be happily surprised.
The first Convention I went to, I had no Bible or song book or note paper etc....and I found a seat....then the music started and the next thing, I was being handed song books and Bibles from Brothers and Sister all around me. It made me feel so happy and not an outsider or anything. Wonderful.
Also, there will be a donation box somewhere in the foyer but there is no pressure to give. Just what you feel in your heart you can afford as it is all voluntary. You don't have to give anything really. Just be there.

You must expect opposition because Christianity 'is no part of this world' as Jesus tells us and we face opposers every day. It is not to be wondered at. Tis just something we must take a stand on. For Jehovah's Sake, for Jesus' sake and for the sake of the Kingdom, and, of course, for our own sake.

Love,
Katidid.
