The moth's kiss first!
Kiss me as if you made believe
You were not sure, the eve,
How my face, your flower, had pursed
Its petals up.
-R. Browning, In a Gondola

Rose kissed me today.
Will she kiss me tomorrow?
Let it be as it may.
Rose kissed me today.
-Austin Dobson, A Kiss

The anatomical juxtaposition of two orbicularis oris muscles in a state of contraction.
-Dr. Henry Gibbons, Definition of a Kiss

Jenny kissed me when we met,
Jumping from the chair she sat in;
Time, you thief, who love to get
Sweets into you list, put that in!
Say I'm weary, say I'm sad,
Say that health and wealth have missed me:
Say I'm growing old, but add
Jenny kissed me.
-Leigh Hunt, Jenny Kissed Me

Leave a kiss but in the cup,
And I'll not look for wine.
-Ben Jonson, To Celia

Sweet Helen, make me immortal with a kiss!
Her lips suck forth my soul: See, where it flies!
-Christopher Marlowe, Doctor Faustus

A kiss, when all is said, what is it?
. . . . . . a rosy dot
Placed on the "i" in loving, 'tis a secret
Told to the mouth instead of to the ear.
-Edmond Rostand, Cyrano de Bergerac, III

Give me kisses! Nay, 'tis true
I am just as rich as you;
And for every kiss I owe,
I can pay you back, you know.
Kiss me, then,
Every moment-and again!
-J. G. Saxe, To Lesbia (after Catullus)

Dear as remembered kisses after death,
And sweet as those by hopeless fancy feign'd
On lips that are for others.
-Tennyson, The Princess, IV

Ephesians 6:13 . . .and having done all, to stand
