"What Do Angels Look Like?"

Like the little old lady who returned your wallet yesterday.

Like the taxi driver who told you that your eyes light up the world, when you smile.

Like the small child who showed you the wonder in simple things.

Like the poor man who offered to share his lunch with you.

Like the rich man who showed you that it really is all possible, if only you believe.

Like the stranger who just happened to come along, when you had lost your way.

Like the friend who touched your heart, when you didn't think you had one to touch.

Angels come in all sizes and shapes, all ages and skin types. Some with freckles, some with dimples, some with wrinkles, some without. They come disguised as friends, enemies, teachers, students, lovers and fools. They don't take life too seriously, they travel light. They leave no forwarding address, they ask nothing in return. They wear sneakers with gossamer wings, They get a deal on dry cleaning. They are hard to find when your eyes are closed, but They are everywhere you look, when you choose to see.

May the Lord bless you and keep you

That is absolutely for sure. I prayed to see an angel one time years ago. I thought it would be a 7 foot figure illuminated in the corner of my room in a glowing white robe.
After months of praying I finally gave up.
Eventually, though, God sent one.
He looked like a burn victim rose from the grave. He was stench smelling, with his flesh falling off and his clothes tattered and burned, it was hard to believe he was actually alive. But he didn't seem to realize he was for all practical purposes walking in a dead man's body.
The whole time I struggled with God in my spirit, confused and uncomfortable. God told me over and again, "Fear not, I am with you."
Lots went on during the time we had our conversation and quite frankly I was nervous and confused, not knowing that this was what God chose to answer my forgotten prayer.
When it was over I asked God what that was all about. After much fussing with God He told me, "Anita, that was the angel you asked for. Just remember one thing, the way I do things will never be the way you expect them."
That was my angel, in the most unexpected way. Hmmm, God does sometimes work in mysterious ways.

Bill are you ok? We're wondering where you've been...Hope everything is ok. Maryann asked about you. Now I'm worried too. Nice post about the angels. I'm sure mine are working overtime. Thank God.
