Hi Javadelite. Interesting writing of yours. We can make a lot of discussion on which English version is the most correct one, but it's still the Holy Spirit that speaks to us and not our Bible. I guess it was good for you to read the Bible in other words. I once learned that if you read 4 chapters in OT daily; 4 chapters in NT daily; 1 chapter in Proverbs and 5 chapters in Psalms. Then you get through OT in a year; NT twice a year; Proverbs and Psalms every month. - and by the way: I like your expression "I remind myself that my vow is my vow with or without the support of others." It's not a bargain but a wow. Blessings Mogens I Can Explain It To You, But I Can’t Understand It For You Good News For Christian Man ABP "REVELATION"

Personally I would struggle making a committment like that. If I read the bible (and I do daily) I want to get out of it whatever I'm meant to and sometimes re-read and meditate on a verse for a while before continuing. I might read the same chapter again the next day before going on to the next to remind myself of what interested me the day before on occasion. I dont want to rush it, I ususally read the bible through in a year then do it again the next year. Been doing it this way a long time. This works for me, I'm not saying this is how anyone else has to do it. But it is very good that you did read it and I'm sure you got a lot out of it. The fact you wanted to honour your committment also shows integrity. God bless. Judgement Day will be interesting.
