Miss You Nights

I've had many times I can tell you
Times when innocence I'd trade for company
And my children saw me crying
I thought I'd had my share of that
But these miss you nights....
They're the longest!

Midnight diamonds stud my heavens
Southward burning like the jewels that are your face
And the warm winds that embrace me
Just as surely kissed your face
Yet these miss you nights they're the longest!

Lay down all thoughts of your surrender
It's only me who's killing time
Lay down all dreams and feelings once remembered
It's just the same this miss you game

Thinking of my going
How to cut the thread and leave it all behind
Looking windward for my comfort
I'll take each day as it arrives
But these miss you nights are the longest!

Often in life we must make choices, maybe not the ones that we want to make or we expect to make, there are twists in the road that lie ahead and surprises that we didn't plan on. Choices we make can be foolish, selfish or wise ones because of our desire to have our own way or know something. When we find our answers does it make it easier? I think not, in a way it can make it more painful.Counting the could have beens or the would have beens in our lives is not wise. In doing that we might unintentionally hurt people along the way with promises made and broken in the blink of an eye because of thoughtlessness and foolishness. If I could, would I take back those moments when I let some friend or family member I loved down? Of course I would for in hurting them I hurt myself. Friends who are friends hold us accountable, and that is how it should be. Out of it all I have learned something which is best said in a quote by W. Edwards Hemming...It is not enough to do your best; you must firstly know what to do, then do your best. And it is here that I lack! I firstly have to know all the facts before making a decision, armed with those facts decisions can be made, does it make it easier? No.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, all I can say is I greatly fear the Lord, and pray for wisdom and courage to find the place that he would have me to be.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Thank you Lord for the word of truth, I am not what I should be but thank you from the bottom of my heart I'm not what I once was

God Bless and Keep you safe in his care.

Very nice blog postings you have here...this one in paticular is very touching as to my situation with the one God has bestowed me with, and I love her dearly though we are separated right now...To put in short...her & I are both very highly gifted in/by Christ Jesus. (Apostolically annointed)

And where I am hurting the most right now is not by my own decisions, but by His will alone...go figure eh? Though I still Thank You my dear Lord Jesus for I know You know best in what is needed for the both of us.

I'd also like to welcome you here to BC as I've noticed you are somewhat new here...Myself, I've been here for a few years on & off, and that is only due to following His lead and will for me assiduosly. It's been nice in meeting you here at BC virtually, and helpful in reading your posts as being remembered of things when elsewhere is a mind. Thank you again sunsets...

Keep pressing on friend, for God has beautiful blessings coming to you very soon...this I have seen.
May God keep you always & Bless you the more...
Ron

Thank you Ron,
I know what you mean when you say that it is the will of God that is hurting, it's hard to walk on and leave someone we love at a fork in the road, we don't understand why, although painful we have to say..."Thy will be done!" It is the Lord alone who knows the plans that he has for each and everyone of us. I admire your courage even though I can see your obvious pain, what I see the most is a love for the Lord and the desire to be in the center of his will for your life.

Sometimes separation is but for a time, sometimes it is an ending, whatever it is.." In the good times we have to praise his name and in the bad times we must do the same, In EVERYTHING give the King of Kings all the thanks". Thank you for the warm welcome and I want you to know when I bow the knee before the throne of Mercy and Grace I will be asking our Father to comfort you.

God Bless and use you mightily for his honor and glory
