To be marked or not to be marked

 Two thousand years ago the Apostle John wrote down the words of the book of Revelation . Chapter 13 speaks of a future economic system whereby each and every individual would have to be marked in such a way that it would be intrusive and without this mark there would be no way of operating within that system .
So are we close ??

The Beast out of the Earth

Revelation 13:11-18

11 Then I saw another beast come up out of the earth. He had two horns like those of a lamb, but he spoke with the voice of a dragon. 12 He exercised all the authority of the first beast. And he required all the earth and its people to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. 13 He did astounding miracles, even making fire flash down to earth from the sky while everyone was watching. 14 And with all the miracles he was allowed to perform on behalf of the first beast, he deceived all the people who belong to this world. He ordered the people to make a great statue of the first beast, who was fatally wounded and then came back to life. 15 He was then permitted to give life to this statue so that it could speak. Then the statue of the beast commanded that anyone refusing to worship it must die.
16 He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. 17 And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name. 18 Wisdom is needed here. Let the one with understanding solve the meaning of the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[c] His number is 666.[d]

 I dont know if everyone else sees the picture you have there as GIGANTIC but my blog's been doing the same thing, till finally I realized that I have to take each picture thats big... to my Paint Shop Pro graphics program to resize it down some before posting it.

Sorted . Different picture though I think this is more appropriate also yes bit of a shock when it opens up rather large on the screen . Thanks for letting me know that you could see it too .

 The answer is no. You shall not receive the mark of the beast. Rather receive the Holy Spirit granted in Christ.

 I dont see the Mark of the Beast as being primarily about the economic system or about buying and selling. Thats just something they will use as a way to try to force you to bow down to the Beast and to do as they say instead of doing what God says.

Note what God's people are doing:

Revelation 14:
11: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12: Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Okay so common sense should tell us that if God's people are keeping the commandments OF GOD then what are Satan's people do who receive the Mark of the Beast?

...they will keep the commandments OF MEN.

The Book of Daniel unlocks the Book of Revelation. (see Daniel chapter 7 and Revelation 13:2 for an example and note the Bear, Lion, and Leopard)

Here Daniel saw exactly the same power as did John in the Book of Revelation, the power who was trying to make himself like God and to change His Laws (His commandments).

Dan: 7:25: And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws

Okay now look at this, remember the Mark of the Beast will be in the forehead and the hand in the Book of Revelation?

Deut:6:8: And thou shalt bind them (God's commandments) for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

And so you see, its not primarily about not being able to buy and sell, thats just one of the tools they will use to try to get you to comply.

Agree , but .... the message clearly states that there will be a system in place where without taking a mark , which the greek means taking a mark under the skin , then there will be no way of operating in that economic system and if we read a few chapters further in then we see that it is a warning for those in Christ not to receive this mark and we learn of what will happen to all those who have taken it . This system spoken of here is clearly a future system that will occur just prior to the return of Jesus Christ and it is only the latter part of last century that technology has enabled the future fulfillment of this economic system with the invention of the computer and the microchip .
