Okay - So What Do We Do Now? Unless you have been sleeping under a rock for the last 12 months - you probably predicted the outcome of our presidential election. I was a little surprised by Obama's landslide victory in states that are historically conservative. So what do we do now - we keep praying! Our country is worth praying for. We live in the greatest country on earth - and we have the freedom to express our feelings and opinions when things are not right with our country. A lot of people died to give us that right. I was impressed with McCain's speech last night. He showed true humility and for once, showed what a great leader he could have been. I voted for him and would do so again in a heart beat. Let's face it folks - there is nothing Godly about our government. But, there are a handful of Godly people in it. Some say this election marks the start of the end times. I don't know. I'm ready to be with Jesus any time he calls me home. I am blessed today because I have a home, job, church family and friends, my bills are paid, and I have the Lord in my heart. "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25 If you don't know me you haven't missed much - but if you don't know Jesus you've missed everything!! |
