Biblical Forgiveness Forgiveness is conditional primarily towards believers Matt18:21-35 Luk 11:4; Matt 6:12-15 Luk6:37; 17:3-4; Mark11:25 1 John 1:9 Forgiveness is one-way street towards unbelieving enemies Luk23:34 — Jesus’ death Acts 7:56-60 — Stephen’s death The bible is pretty clear about forgiveness. The Lord God Almighty is slow to anger and ready to forgive. I have found it hard to do so towards unbelieving enemies, especially those described in causing Jesus' death and Stephen's death. Personally, it is too hard to forgive my wicked parents who have ruined my life. Though supposed to love us but hurt us the most is the hardest to be forgiven. I total agree with conditional forgiveness among believers as quoted above but in reality whenever I am wronged, the other party would not always come and say sorry and seek forgiveness. They may even expect me to do so instead. Well I try not to hold grudges against them and leave our "disputes" to God for justice in due time. |

Forgiveness can be a process... lasting years and a lifetime in some peoples cases... I have forgiven someone and felt great just to find out that they are still mad and resentful causing me to have to take it to the Lord again and again... A process... Praise God for this gift of life... anew each and every day!!! Let the SON shine!!! michael
