Are you competing for a spouse or trusting God Are you trusting God to bring you a spouse or are you trusting in yourself and your own efforts? I see so many people in the chat rooms in here competing with each other. When oh when will we learn it is NOT a compe tit ion? I believe that if God has a man for me then it will eventually happen; therefore, I do not have to compete with others. Since I have confidence in the Lord to bring me the man he has for me (if that is His will) then I do not have to chase men, but can wait on His timing. It is freeing to know that it is in His hands and not mine. What do you think? Faith is not believing that God can - It's knowing that He will! |

I agree with you 100 percent sister.There has been men I have been attracted to but I'm waiting on God to bring me his best. It can be lonely at times but in Gods timing I know he'll give us the best!!!GBY Please remember to keep our soldiers in your prayers!!! Kristy

Kristy I am glad you are waiting on God. It does get lonely, but I had a friend who used to always say, "Better to be single than to wish you were!!!" Faith is not believing that God can - It's knowing that He will!

Amen and Amen again. How much pain we would avoid if we would only wait upon God. He alone knows the mate we should have. trusting God in all areas of our lives is very important, not just in relationships. The most important relationship we should seek after is our relationship with Christ. Make that relationship priority one in life and all others will fall into place accordingly. I agree, to a point. God has a plan. Still, it doesn't hurt to look around. What I have discovered, though, is that I prefer being single. And, while women are often accused of "chasing men", men seem to be the ones who have the greatest proportion of desperate hunters. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes it seems like the women are happy single, while the men want to get married. Maybe that's just in my experiences, though. All I know is---I'm happy, and without God I wouldn't be at peace like I am. You're right about the chat rooms, though, they get a little...out of hand now and then....

I went the "trusting in yourself" path for a while....got no where. This week, the lord showed me I was being manipulative by doing that. But just as Elijah in I Kings 18, had a plan given by God, he did not put his trust in what he "did", he put it in the Lord (18:36-37), so now, I too, GBY, Garywill "do things" as He directs, but still put My trust in Him. God is an artist and you are His masterpiece!

hmmmmmmm short one rib, when i click on respond it takes me to the be a paid member page, when I click on quote it took me back a page. I will get it figured out thanks for your help. Also good going on letting God lead you. He knows best. ty beloved....your blog was so well written sis...EVERYTHING in His time....even Jesus waited on The Fathers time. when i find myself wanting only one thing so badly that it's all that i am able to concentrate on...i am alomst invariablly dissapointed with it when i get it.(ppl included)....it also distracts me from my main focus,which is Jesus...and doing His will...not mine. we..as ppl...are so easily tempted to put idols in front of our Lord...and i find a mate can definately be an idol. as for the compition...it is all to common in the rooms...at work...shoot,even on the city bus.i personaly,and i'm only speaking for me...find it very unbecoming of a woman to pursue me honestly. in the rooms i enjoy flirting...but anyone that knows me well knows that it is just playing..(perhaps i should stop that)...anyway...when a person is pursueing me....the definately are not looking at Jesus...and that's uncomfortable... ok...i'm getting off the soap box now...ty again for your thoughts beloved...GBU

Beloved i agree with ya there is alot of competition in da chat rooms for a man  thank god i didnt have to compete for ma man God sent me him Hallelujah  i see so much that goes on in da chat room and its very unpleasing to our father!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes all we need to do is stand still and let God do his work we may not see it with the natural eye but he is working u just need faith  TC & GBU beloved my red neck sissy

Having a mate is wonderful. Having the right one is critical. (if you want to have a worthwhile relationship) But I think we have to be in love with Jesus first. If we're not, I think it breaks His heart. After all, who loves us more then he does?

Could care less, they can have them !!!....Never go in the chat rooms and I usually avoid Mr. Popular anyway...I like the sweet shy guy who sits in the back with the little boy look and goes all red eared when he is noticed...thats the guy I want to marry!
