Well I can honestly say this isn't a meaningless post coz there is nothing meaningless about my best friend Lorraine! We had our usual get together today and it was like walking into a sunny room! She does that to me! I keep thinking, Lord how blessed am I, that you gave me this awesome woman to be my best friend! We just have a connection, you know? You get that with some people, just a something that kind of draws you together and it's like God just showers you with blessings through that friendship. She is so like me, it's scary!! She's a total nutter, gets me into all kinds of trouble....and as you know, I am easily persuaded!! Today we talked about anything and everything, as we always do. She's the only friend I have right now that I can talk God stuff with coz she is just as passionate about God as I am! I need that, I come alive when I talk about God...or when we unpack something we read in the Bible. We also share the same daily devotional so we often share about that. I just wish I could see her more often...we can only get together every second Monday coz I work and she is busy with stuff too. She always helps me to put things into perspective. Especially now where my vision is kind of clouded over...she gives me stuff to chew over, and I often get revelations from God through our conversations. It's a definite God connection! I guess I'm super blessed coz I have a large network of friends. It's like each one is different, yet they each have a little bit of me in them...yup scary huh!! Do you find that with your friendships too? I don't just mean girl to girl or guy to guy..sometimes it's girl to guy as well. Well that's all I gotta say about that...as Forest Gump would say!! AAAAHHHH. I like your sweet, sentimental, heartwarming story.It shows the love and bond the two of you share. Thanks for your openness. I understand exactly where you are coming from. I can't discuss religion at all in my work place, where I spend the majority of my life working 10-12 hrs/4 days week. That would be considered inappropriate, and grounds to be fired, since respect for all religious differences must be strictly adhered to, of which I agree. No religious articles can be openly displayed on my desk, since it is still public domain. Thank God for the friends, family, and church family who share my enthusiasm for Christ! Greater is He who is within me, than He who is within the world.

Pen, one of the greatest gifts God has given us is friendship; a bit of Him displayed in others. I love that phrase "when we unpack something we read in the Bible." I am so glad you are blessed with Lorraine. I have friends like that but they have either moved away or are back in NC. Or, as in the case of an old beau I could share with like that, just got married. That is one of the reasons I am looking forward to moving back to NC...I have friends there that have known me since I was 23; no matter the distance we have always stayed in touch and they have a knack for knowing just when I am needing some prayer or counsel. And I them...we always bounce major decisions off each other...oh boy, I so can't wait to get back there. He is no fool if he should choose to lose the things he cannot keep to gain what he can never lose.....Jim Elliott Deena

One thing I think most of us dont consider is If a man is really friends with a woman without all that sexual tension and vice versa a man will become more sensitive to a woman and understand woman better... And vice versa...Which is probably one of the top issues a woman has with a man...If a couple is confidant in their relationship togther...No man or woman will destroy that...Its okay to have men and woman for friends....Just dont cross that line where your being insentive to your better half...You can develop and have many friends of both genders...Its nice!...God Bless You....Quoting Forest.."I might be dumb, but I know what love is"...Run Forest run....GBY

Continue to be faithful, deliverance is near, obedience must be seen, be an unconditional blessing as He continues to bless you. This time is short, serve Him well, serving all. Without exception. I have some of those around - but most live a distance away and are busy a lot so it's hard to schedule time. Your words reminded me of this quote "A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart." Blessings Pen!! How can we NOT praise Him - Marilyn

Isn't it great when we have those connections like that. I trust you had a super time and talked up a storm. I love the car races. Over here its a Ford vs Chevy thing. I try not to get caught up in which is better as so much depends on the driver and the pit crews. Have a super day and God bless you my sister.

Thanks Pen...I would so much appreciate your joining in prayer with me on that...for God to open the doors..bring the right job in just the right location at just the right time. I get overwhelmed looking at all that has to happen sometimes and then feel like giving up, but before I even met the fellow in NC God had been speaking the verse to me about "returning to the land of my relatives". I just really need to see God's hand in making the way clear and showing me exactly where I'm to go. Thanks so much my friend! I also talk about different things in day to day life that God has done. I figure, if the others are allowed to talk about their husbands, surely I can talk about mine???
