The devil loves to fish in troubled waters. -- John Trapp

This quote really impacted me. How true this is! Have you noticed, when things go wrong, sometimes it starts a chain reaction of trouble.

As soon as we become vulnerable about something, the devil prowls around looking for things to vex us.

I get angry at myself sometimes, coz I allow a moment of weakness to give him a foothold. I know that God is strengthening me daily and somehow I do make it through the pig swill days. Sometimes when I think I can't take a minute more of this, He reaches down and cloaks me in courage and tenacity...I know it's not mine coz I am not courageous or tenacious!! He gets me through time and time again!

How blessed are we, that even in the midst of troubles, we have the amazing strength and power of God to carry us through.

As we focus on God's power, the power that satan has, diminishes and he limps away snarling, yet defeated once again! Yes, his fishing line comes up empty! Praise God!

The more the enemy is exposed - the more he loses his power!! So I try to expose him every chance I get. That's one of the reasons I am more open about what is going on in my life and my emotions these days - at least to my closest friends. When we expose the enemy - I believe we glorify God and that allows Him to work more in our lives. That's a new thought there.

You are not courageous or tenacious in your own strength Penelope - but in His strength - you are awesome - nothing is impossible with Him.

He gets us through victoriously - sometimes we just don't see the end of it yet.

I like that - his fishing line comes up empty - hallelujah - he is such a loser!! Blessings!!

You know what else, Marilyn? When you share your struggles, it means another saint can lift you up in prayer.....when two or more gather!! Those days when I am brought low, I know that somewhere in the world, someone is lifting me up in prayer....how awesome is that!!

Well you're not called Ms Warriorthingy for nothin'! The outcome of the battle is already decided...but let us fight in such a way as to demonstrate the victorious life, and in so doing, take as many souls to heaven as we can! Another verse that came to mind while reading your post "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." Excellent post, Pen!

Amen Penelope! As Christians we may get into a slump; but we know better than to allow the devil to keep us down. God bless!

Well then...drop and give me FIFTY!! Actually, do you know what they'd tell us to do in Basic Training? Drop and beat your face...interesting term for doing push ups, huh? Boy I wish I were in the same shape now I was in then...but then I don't have 12 hours a day to exercise!! I will say though that you can get very fit without spending a penny...jogging, pushups, situps, jumping jacks...good old calesthenics. Think I'll get down on the floor now and do some!
