Dontcha just looooooooooove those Southern gents!!! But really who are you? Are you who you say you are on your profile? Do you tell little white lies to make yourself more appealing? Who are you really? Isn't it sad that we have to apply so much caution in this place. Or any place for that matter. I've heard so many stories of people who met someone on BC only to find they were horribly misled or deceived. I've been the victim of it myself so I know first hand. Just because someone professes to love God, does not make them a person who is worthy of your trust. I have spoken to several people from here, on the phone and I would like to think they were "real", but I've also spoken to people who haven't turned out to be quite so "real". I guess as you get to know someone, talk to them a lot, you get a fair idea of who they are and it becomes easier to trust.....or is it??? I had a relationship with a man in BC, even went to the US to meet him, only to find he wasn't who I thought he was. It was devastating for me and unfortunately it has made me a little wary...which is probably a good thing! Even here on the blogs....we read posts....but do we really know what we are reading? Do we take what we read at face value, or do we check the authenticity of it against the Bible? Do we really know who the blogger is? Are they real? Are they really as godly as they sound? Can you trust everything you read? What about me? Am I real? You read my posts, you say the most beautiful things to me....but am I real? Do you read the Bible passages that I often write about? It tears at my heart to see people being deceived. It might shock some of you to know that there are people who hate Christians, hate God...and they infiltrate the blogs and quite literally raise hell. Then there are others who are so insiduous, you don't even realise you have been deceived....until after you have been hurt. I've been blogging for a year now, been in the chat room....I've seen it, heard it and it concerns me how many people get "taken in and wooed" by these people. I know I'm beginning to sound like a worn out recording here, but there are people in this place who I have come to care very deeply about. People who are hurting, vulnerable people searching desperately for love, for acceptance..... Please exercise caution.....pray a LOT....check things out. And if you fall in love with someone...make sure you know who they are BEFORE you give your heart away. SATAN DISGUISES HIMSELF AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT.....remember that! Penelope Captive of Hope

I live in the deep south and that youngun' don't sound suthern at all - he needs to say y'all and down the road a piece and hun and stuff like that - he sounds like he has more of a Ghana accent to me!! Yup - wolves in sheeps clothing!! But it's also a chance to experience that Balm of Gilead and draw closer in intimacy to our precious Lord. And guess what - love is never wasted!! Thanks for the excellent advice, Pen. ....by the way, I lied about my height and my age on my profile....I'm really much taller and a whole lot younger than I stated!!  ....ahem........um......sorry.......you're absolutely right....we must use caution and certainly common sense when getting to know someone on the internet! He contradicted himself right there, and how could anyone believe a word he says after that? Yeah he's probably from Ghana or Nigeria....LOL I get you about being careful, and watchful about the deception out there in so many different ways. If I meet someone here, I'll have you do the interrogation for me and weed out the fakes.... Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness!

Hi, Pen!  Yeppers, there's lots and lots of snakes crawlin' round on their bellies out there; but sometimes, you are incredibly blessed to find a genuine jewel who is EXACTLY as they seem. When you do, it makes all the sorting through rocks we do worth it. I didn't know you had gotten taken in and hurt.   I'm so sorry. Can I go smack the dirty rotten begger clean into next week??? Yep Pen we need disernment much more these days as there are wovles among the sheep everywhere, even in our own churches. Truth is- Ya know fer sure I'm not "phony". Truth IS - yer WAAAAAY attractive and all. ( But TRUTH is- I would never ever try to "attract" a woman by feigning untrue things just to "get something"- even "on line romantic interest". Brash? LOUD? Crass? Straight to the point? Disagreeable in discussions? won't quit saying "Jesus Only"? yup. But check all around here at BC- SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many beautiful ladies some with beautiful spirits.... Not one can say I ever led them on at all. Scammers? Sure. Users? Sure. But when God says "Hands off"... I kinda like to TRUST that He knows something more- that I don't WANT to know about most women. He'll bring the real deal when she's ready- even if I'M NOT. How easy can it be to not be looking for something I don't have even the slightest clue about? As for the rest of it? Yeah. Still the one calling YOU a phony christian. Cuz it's true. Perfection... Yes Pen you have to be discerning and careful online and with folks in the "real world" as all are not who they say they are; but sometimes you get very blessed to find those with true, sincere hearts. My guy, Gary, doesn't understand why I blog with people I don't know...but I feel as though I do know many of you that share sincerely from your heart. God makes the world very small indeed. And I see this as a mission field as well...there are those who need encouraging, prayer, a kind word, healing from hurt; we are to be His hands and feet and do as He would do here. I believe He would be speaking truth in love, offering kindness, hope, healing and love. He is no fool if he should choose to lose the things he cannot keep to gain what he can never lose.....Jim Elliott Deena

one of my scammers actually telephoned me once he was 20 ish and wanting money to support his siblings [food mostly] I couldn't help him but I prayed. Susan because I have a Shepherd, I know love and goodness
