Psa 105:4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. This verse is going over my mind.....I want to share it with you. See, this is what it's all about......Him. This is where we find ALL truth. Through prayer, through reading His Word, through constant RELATIONSHIP with Him....we get all the answers from Him. God doesn't just listen to us, He wants to speak to us. He does this through prayer and reading His Word. But we have to listen, we have to focus on Him, we have to be in relationship with Him. If we don't do these things, we are more likely to miss the still small voice. We are more likely to be led away, our faith will lessen and soon our lives will start to reflect what we lack with Him. God is where our strength comes from.....seek His face....seek His strength.....seek the Living God....you will have ALL YOU NEED AND MORE! Penelope Captive of Hope

Amen and Amen. Penny, hold strong onto Jesus, he is the only true way. THE FATHER'S HEART That I might know the Father's Heart That I might follow in His Ways It is my prayer to be a servant set apart To always trust Him and obey That I might know the Father's heart That I might somehow share His pain And in my death to self I'll know in greater part The awesome Glory of His name. Good words, sis. The time spent sitting with HIM reflects our relationship with God. If all we do is stand and walk...well....I did that for over 30 years...full of knowledge, walking in my own truth, full of pride and arrogance....and my heart??? It was my heart HE wanted. I'm still sitting with Him because that is the secret of HIS power in me. I know you understand this and that is the reason you are not full of the stuff that comes out of people's mouths....the stuff I once said that my late husband responded with....You know, I wouldn't put that in my hands, let alone put it in my mouth....I was full of Holy S.... and not a heart to go with it. Truth is found with HIM and it comes through a personal relationship with HIM, knowing HIS character....that requires reading HIS WORD. All of it so you know how he behaves and how faithful HE is. It also requires long talks and listening to the Holy Spirit whom He gave to all of us who believe on Him. Thanks, Pen, for letting me share my heart here. I praise HIM for truth to see others as well as myself. In His light there IS transparency. See you next week!

That is a good reminder for me. The last two months have be nothing short of chaotic. Not with trauma...just activity and kids. When there is so much happening all the time, it's easy to be distracted from the important things. Is your post where you're at? I am looking forward to catching up. BTW...I haven't talked with him (the surgeon) in over a week...just another guy. Truth is Black and White Paula Marie

AMEN... I spoke on the topic of looking in His face (versus navel gazing  ) at one of the women's conferences we did in Mexico. Two other verses I love in this regard are: 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Psalm 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed.

Hi Pen, This is spooky  .I`ve just left a reply to your comment on my post n i come here n find the answer.I see that i won`t need to work on every area of my Faith where i`m havin problems.I shall Pray,read The Word (more),praise Our Wonderful Father and listen for that small voice.After all Jesus already knows what i`m worried about and He will put it in order for me.If that is his will.Thanks Pen.Peace be with you, Wendy   Show me the way Sweet JESUS.Lead and i Will follow.

Hey Pen, Wow this is so true. I am still working on trying to RECOGNIZE when it is HIS VOICE I am hearing. I have been "drug through the MUD", so to speak this last week (Read Dennis's post for explanation" but, I WILL PRESS ON KNOWING he brought me to it-HE WILL SEE ME THROUGH IT. God I pray I have a much better week this week and am able to recuperate from this without too much more pain. Thanks for visiting my blog. I enjoy reading yours, Tonya

Pen, another great post! Yep, it's about seeking Him, not just when things are going south, but all the time, even on the mountaintops, and everything in between! It's been nice sittin' here on the buoy some this weekend with ya, but back to evangelism school tomorrow, and lots of studying!! Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness!
