Today I woke up feeling out of sorts...I had some nasty dreams...rotten sleep...and I looked a shocker with bags under the eyes and everything! But that's not the worst of it..... Some days I don't have time to straighten my hair after I wash it so I kind of pin it up on my head au natural and it has that just got out of bed look...which usually isn't too bad, but when you wake up with bags under your eyes etc it just doesn't look good! But that's still not the worst of it.... I got to work and realised I left my cosmetic purse at home...so no lippy...no perfume  I felt so naked and vulnerable But nooooooooo that's NOT the worst of it.... Want to know the worst of it???? Let's backtrack to one of my posts not so long ago...remember the blast from my past who wanted to take me out to dinner and I said no? Zoom back to the present.... Here's a girl rushing to the store after work, hair with the just got out of bed look, bags under the eyes, no lippy, no perfume, work uniform.... Walks past a coffee shop... who is in the coffee shop?????? BLAST FROM THE BLINKIN PAST IS IN THE COFFEE SHOP! AND HE SAW ME!!! AND HE WAVED!!! Did our eyes meet over his blinkin capuccino???? NO BLINKIN WAY!!! I waved and walked so fast you would think a bunch of rabid cannibals were after me!! See.......I really do need that bowl of high fibre Special K cornflakes! Sounds like a nightmare! but, on the other hand, he did recognized you without the makeup, so, it was probably not that bad  Life is an adventure.

Ug! Isn't that just the way it always goes? The hottie is right there to see the vunerable side of us. I feel for you today, Pen. FYI~ I am doing the "didn't have time to do anything, so pulled hair into ponytail" do today. Have a great weekend! G

Beauty is only skin deep Penelope - maybe he remembered your beautiful heart and didn't even notice your lack of makeup!! ps - my 1st ex-husband used to say "beauty is skin deep but ugly goes clear to the bone" - but who listens to a lying alchoholic abusive adulterizer anyway!!! Ok, I'm hitting the shower, I'm doing my make-up "just so", I'm fixing my hair up all girly,  I'm wearing my prettiest blouse, and my softest, most feminine perfume! Mr Wonderful just may show up on my doorstep  --out here on these 40 acres of woods---in the middle of nowhere--that even I can't find WITH a map and a compass----it could happen...........  And monkeys could fly out my butt........... I totally understand how you feel. One day I decided not to do the hair and make up thing because I was just going to work in my yard. Hair in pony tail and sans makeup, I was great. Then about 3pm I decided to run down to the hardware store for some paint. As I walked in the cashier said, "Did you just get up?". I guess I must look really different without makeup. Oh well, whatever. I can't see myself so everyone else just gets to see the great plain faced me!!

If it makes you feel in better, some of my salad dropped off my folk during lunch and bounced off my chest, leaving my shirt with a lovely ranch dressing stain that made it look like I was lactacting! This just hasn't been my week!

Well, you hear so many stories of how the guy fell in love with the girl because of see her 'au naturel'! So, I think I"m on the way to love...cuz the guy who trims the trees and hedges here first saw me in the back yard working with my old jeans and NOOOO make up. Then a couple of weeks later (post surgery) he's suddenly at the door mid-morning to drop off something he wants me to read during recovery...me in old T-shirt without any 'over the shoulder boulder holder', PJ bottoms, hair askew and dark rings under the eyes and him dressed to the nines! Yup, I'm SURE he's now in love after seeing me like that.

This is the funniest post I have read in a long time. NOOOOO Not your part....the comments by others. You are so georgoueeeous he is probably star struck and did not notice. I have to tell ya something.... it happened again. I know you would never pass over any comments I would make but it happened over here >>>> wanna see??? Let Jeffy apply it just right. I'll be gentle. And let me do something with that hair! Did you sleep upside down or something? And I guess I'm goin'to have to dunk your baggy eyes in a water compact.
