Tell me what you would do, if you were given 24 hours to live.
One of the great revivalists in the church, was approached while he as tending his garden. He was asked that question. His response........"I would finish tending my garden."
In other words, he was doing what he knew he was supposed to be doing at that moment.
How about you? Would you change your plans for tomorrow if you knew you had 24 hours to live?
Eph 2:10 We are his workmanship (poiema, or poem, or work of art) created in Christ Jesus.
God is an artist and you are His masterpiece!

Quoting Godschildtoo: I am in the center of the Lord's will for my life right now, drawing close to Him, serving Him, and learning more of Him in evangelism school. It's like my life really began 2 months ago, I would keep doing what I'm doing.
I would agree with this smart lady.. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His Righteusness, and all of the things will be added unto you,Hallelu Halleluja..

Wouldn't it be great to have that quiet confidence in keeping faithful where we are knowing that we are in God's will at that moment in time...a life that is tended following where Jesus leads everyday?! Yeah who was that great revivalist?.... Personally I would be in prayer...getting it right with God...confessions and repentance to date...and asking Him and listening to what He says to do for the rest of the day...eg. gathering love ones together, seeking forgiveness from another and vise versa...writing last few words of advice and instructions as needed and oh yes what Rhonda said...tidy up!!
Man can make many plans...BUT it is the Lord who will direct his paths....
I_Am_1_Rib_Short replies on 10/10/2008 2:35 pm: Nooooooo, not another one!!! ...so how long would it take YOU to tidy up??? As I mentioned below to Judyson, I can't remember which one it was. "Twas many years ago that I did that study. Sorry |

I would change things. I would not go to work- but instead spend the 24 hour period with my children and grandchildren. Tell them how valuable they are, spend the time just playing at the park or possibly taking a road trip (short one). Tell them to always look to Jesus. I may spend 30 min tidying up the house. Hate to be caught dead with a mess about.
From one bride to another, God keep you, bless you, increase you, Rhonda
I_Am_1_Rib_Short replies on 10/10/2008 2:32 pm: Ah Rhonda, how did I know you were going to throw in those 30 minutes????
I risked and ultimately lost a relationship because I chose to help my daughter rather than spend that time with that woman. I told my daughter, I would make the same choice again. I regularly tell my daughters how much I value them....very important |

My first response would be to contact loved ones not to inform them. Just to tell them I love them once more which I do all the time anyways...I would pray right to the end with Christ in my heart...Praying that my loved ones see me happy to be with our LORD and I have the courage and faith to do that!...To set an example!.......GBY....And oh to make sure all my bills are paid...LOL
I_Am_1_Rib_Short replies on 10/10/2008 2:25 pm: Hey Alan Ah yes, a very practical man....pay your bills. |

Hmmmmm....Great Question!
1) I would leave notes to people that I loved and/or better yet perhaps a dvd of myself talking to them, (* I wish I had a Video or dvd with my Mom, Brother and Sister in it!)
2) Spend the rest of my time reading GOD's Word and Praying!
Great Post!
By the way, Who was this Famous revivalist?
