II Cor 5:20: "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God."

God strolls through the streets of Calcutta and Cairo and the concrete jungles of Chicago;I've been told this by those who minister there. I'm told God wanders the streets of Vancouver's infamous "Eastside," meanders on the banks of Lake Okanagan, and dances the wheat fields under prairie skies. I've been told He's been spotted on the sidewalks right here in Kelowna.....and I believe it!

I believe it because others have recounted their exposure to His presence, because His fingerprints are daily found by any first year "spiritual" CSI agent. And I believe it because my mother said it was true! But do I see Him?

Do I experience His touch? I've heard of His fame......but do I really believe He strolls the streets of Kelowna? Do I really believe that He rides the bus, and stands in line at Super Store, that He paddles on Lake Okanagan, and glides His board down the hallways on the new Dr Knox school? Or is Ogopogo more real?

I want to see! I want to wake up! I want to wipe the "sleep" from my slumbering eyes.....to see Him in my neck-of-the-woods.

He is at work....His hands, His feet, His voice is being made clear even today. He not only came on mission - but He daily shows up on mission! He has indeed strolled our streets - not just metaphorically - but literally through His living, breathing, image-bearers like you and me! WOW!

Lord lift my eyes to see Your fame. Let me be aware of Your foot steps and your finger prints today! Help me to identify the people You have already prepared for me to speak to , to love, to care for, and to demonstrate the gospel today!

Today: If it is morning - Ask God to bump into you as you stroll about the city toady! Listen, watch and anticipate His presence

Today: if it is evening - Think back on your day - what "chance" encounter may have really been a "divine appointment?"

A few minutes ago, I received an email announcing that the church in Kelowna is meeting for a week of prayer and fasting Oct 5 - 11. In part, this is the email, "We will be repenting, we will be declaring and we will be agreeing for God's Kingdom to come and His will to be done in Kelowna.
Different leadership teams from different churches will be leading each night. Let's see the walls between us fall down as we come together with one heart and one mind to the feet of Jesus."

WOW!!! That is an amazing step for Kelowna, where the Church has been divided for so long. WOW!

Eph 2:10 We are his workmanship (poiema, or poem, or work of art) created in Christ Jesus.

God is an artist and you are His masterpiece!

Great post Gary, yes the Lord is with us wherever we go. I am sitting on His lap right now, and He is encouraging me, loving me, just as He is with you in Kelowna. My church is also has a week of prayer and fasting, either this month or in early November. We have in recent times done this twice a year, and now several churches join us from around the country, and the Lord pours His Spirit forth.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness!

There seems to be a calling to prayer and fasting in Canada, U.S. and Australia...let's believe God for something supernatural

Without Absolute Truth, there are only lies disguised as truth, if you know not the Absolute Truth and it is NOT within you, you will embrace a relative truth that fits your eternity, that is presently before you.

Continue to be faithful, deliverance is near, obedience must be seen, be an unconditional blessing as He continues to bless you.

This time is short, serve Him well, serving all.

Without exception.

Hi Gary, hope you are well. I am currently working on a daily devotional by Oswald Chambers, "My utmost for His Highest" and I am going through a series now that kinda link with your post and I found it interesting.

The Missionary's goal: "He...said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem..." Luke 18.31

In our natural life our ambitions change as we grow, but in the Christian life the goal is given at the very beginning, and at the end are exactly the same, namely, our Lord Himself. We start with Christ and we end with Him-".. till we all come... to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" Eph 4: 13, not simply to our own idea of what the Christian life should be. The goal of the missionary is to do God's Will, not to be useful or the win the lost. A missionary is useful and he does win the lost, but that is not his goal. His goal is to do the will of his Lord.

In our Lord's life, Jerusalem was the place where he reached the culmination of His Father's will upon the cross, and unless we go there with Jesus we will have no friendship or fellowhip with Him. Nothing ever diverted our Lord on His way to Jerusalem. He never hurried through certain villages where He was persecuted, or lingered in others where He was blessed. Neither gratitude nor ingratitude turned our Lord even the slightest degree away from His purpose to go "up to Jerusalem".

..........There will be works of God exhibited through us, people will get blessed, ................ on the way to our Jerusalem....

I agree with you WOW, Kelowna will have an awesome meeting with our Lord with a declaration like that.
