Thank you for your kind words fratello. At the moment I am trying to delay each sigarette to see if I can quit over a period. I agree, cold turkey is not for me lol. Blessings

Well, at this stage I find the withdrawal symptoms, let's say a challenge. Painful shoulders and neck as the muscles are tight. Sleepy, headaches and irritable. Find it difficult to think of anything else. Trying to keep my eye on the Lamb.

I applaud you Sonia.
My ex, who was addicted to drugs, alcohol and smoking, told me that smoking was the hardest to quit.
In my research on addictions in general, I have discovered that for the most part, they are substitutions for something else. Several doctors have confirmed this. So try to find out what it is that your smoking is a substitute for.
My second suggestion, also from the pros is that you don't try and quit FOREVER. Forever is an awful long time! Quit just for today, just one cigarette at a time.
God's blessing as you both face this challenge.
Eph 2:10 We are his workmanship (poiema, or poem, or work of art) created in Christ Jesus.
God is an artist and you are His masterpiece!

Have not had a smoke since the Sunday between the 11 th of Nov. and Thanks Giving, 22 nov 07, what ever the date that Sunday was.
Still want one.
Still dream that I smoked one.
And am around smokers constantly.
God is good.

This time is short, serve Him well, serving all.
Without exception.

p.s. put the money you'd spend on a pack in a jar where you can see it - everytime you want to smoke, look at how much money is piling up!!! Wow! Then go do somthing frivelous with the money after a month. And remember that no craving lasts forever . . . just get through a minute at a time.

Just picture yourself with those wrinkly smoker's lips and cheeks from sucking on cigarette's! That should do it! Seriously - YOU GO GIRL!!!

Drink tons of water, chew sugar-free gum, have a plan to do something, anything, when the cravings come. They only last a minute or so so it's not too bad. Whatever you do, don't start eating all kinds of junk food! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

sonia congrats on her to stop smoking . I was a smoker many years ago , I discovered the only way to stop was just STOP. stay away from others that smoke as much as possible. focus on other things. My hardest time was after eating LOL and we know we must eat. I chew gum so that helped also. Now I find cigs repulsive and expensive. The smoking is very addictive habit, if she can go 2 weeks without a cig.she should make it. Praying will also help. I told myself how unhealthy it was, that it was limiting my oxygen supply to my body. mind over matter God bless her.
Yahweh is my light and salvation.
