I am at a place where Our Lords calling has been lost to me and so have lots of listening to do. I have so many questions and no answers, is this the case with many people? Do we see only what we want to see in life?? Are we only listening to what we choose to listen too??? And my biggest question of all.... How do I know when God is talking to me?????? I pray that I do what is right, I live as best I can, and I am an honest and true christian to the best of my capabilities. I know my boundaries and try to over come them, I work at being at better child of God. I still have doubts and bouts of unsureness and insecurity, I fault-er, stumble and fall, but there is Our Lord... When it's God, it lines up with His word, dont worry, a lot of us are in this place, He is honing people ... you are not alone, keep doing your best and trusting in Him ...

Polly, continue praying and asking God to open your ears and heart to His voice. Continue reading the Bible and ask Him to help you understand His Holy Word. God will never leave you nor forsake you.  Isn't that wonderfully comforting??? God bless you!  to the world the Lord has come, let heaven and earth and every heart receiveth Him.

Sue First off Blessings to you. Sometimes i take life like a radio. You may be driving in an area where the reception may not be as good as it always is. The message may not be audible at the time, but it is still being transmitted. The good thing is that the Holy Spirit resides in each born again believer. Also in Jer 31:31-34 it says that right and wrong is written on our hearts in the New Covenant of Christ. So we know right and wrong. The interesting part is that all of a sudden whith no prompting we are in a better receptive area and we hear clearly again. It happens. I ask a lot of questions and then I forget about them. The Holy Spirit always shows me at some point. Just be patient. Your situation is not abnormal in any way. Keep in mind God is much more relationship oriented than program. The relationship is eons more important than any "call" people tend to believe.
