I often think of her. My sweet grandma. The in pact she left on me will never be replaced. And she never said a word....it was her actions.I can remember as a very little child staying with her overnight. She had a rocking chair in her living room by the heater with a little stool right by it. This little stool held her bible anytime she wasn't using it. Last thing I would see before I went off to bed was her reading it and the first thing the next morning she would be in her kitchen sitting at the table, bible, cup of coffee, reading. She would look up at me with a smile and a say "Good Morning" flopsie...yes she really called me that...lol. Then one night for some reason I couldn't sleep in my room...so she made me a bed on the floor.I went off to sleep only to wake up later to her praying out loud.She was talking to the Lord as if he was sitting right there beside her telling Him how worried she was about my dad and others. It was the most wonderful thing I had ever heard. She was always going to church and taking me if I was around. I say it that way because my other grandmother never went with us ...she would send us. My Grandma never knew I heard her praying or that I watched her as she would read her bible. Or how proud I always was to sit by her in church.But she gave me something that has stayed with me and Blessed me a number of times. But most of all She showed me how to love God and spend time in His presents.One day I will tell her. I will walk in to heaven and there she will be Well Good Morning flopcies she will say and I will say thanks Grand for helping me get here.Thank You for giving to the Lord. Amen Angel looking 4 her wings.. I will loosen myself from what has held me in the past, and from all the things that claw at my soul and threaten to pull it away from Gods purpose. I am blessed with a mother very similar to your gran. How blessed we are to have the Living Water poured into our lives through such specials vessels of God. Her prayers made such a difference in our family. My mother recently pasted a card, that I gave her a number of years ago, on her fridge. It reads: The Lord gave in His wisdom, to me a mother with a source of infinite wisdom. Thank you that you never stopped praying for me, even when it looked ineffective. I can only hope that one day, Roux (my son), will feel the same way about me as I feel about you. Only while reading your post, I realized what a tall order that is. I cannot in my wildest dreams come close. Thank you for reminding me that I still have the privilege of having her around to thank. Yes that is a great picture to in vision...me, you and grand, talking about my blog...I can see tears in her eyes because she never knew how she was showing me Gods love. NO, NO, going to have to be a big old smile Like ours...Because no tears in heaven ...right.Not even happy ones.....  Ok thanks for stopping in. Your always welcome sis. This gave me goosebumbs and tears! What a beautiful tribute. What is that old saying...something like...witness to everyone, and when necessary use words. Sister, I am so blessed by reading this! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't wait to me your Grand, too! Yippee! I can see why we will be there forever! Just think how long it is going to take us to introduce ourselves to everyone! Girl you'll be amazed also when people come up to you in heaven and thank you for guiding to the Lord by the walk of your life and the example that you set before them. I can sense a very kind and caring heart within the words that you write and look forward to seeing you in heaven when we get there. God Bless you. If God be for us; who can stand against us!

WOW! What a living legacy your grandma had left you with!! You are so blessed to have such a grandma who loves the Lord and who interceded for you in prayers... I didn't know my grandparents, but my mother was one of a godly women when she became a Christian! Her life was about God's Word and Prayer! It is my prayer that I would have that kind of legacy of a Praying mom/Grandma to my children and grandchildren as well as a Woman of God's Word! Thank you for sharing this uplifting story....What a great example indeed! Ummmm... dont know why, however through reading that story about you flopsies... I had chills and goose bumps... I will come back and read again... A beautiful post and great model for your Grand to give you in a model relationship with the Lord!!! It's even better tht you have listened and allowed God in to your life!!! Praise Jesus!!!
