Is it a word that goes with BOTH halves separately or does it make up one big phrase? Can't understand how anything can end with "to". OK, let me help you out a little bit!  I'll give you an example by using the idea of "electricity". The "power of" electricity is "transmitted to" something. The "power of" equals the source. "transmitted to" refers to the act of transmitting for the purpose of reception at the other end. What is missing on the path of "source to reception"?
