WASHINGTON John McCain is hammering Barack Obama over his association with former 1960s radical and domestic terrorist William Ayers in a new TV ad. The ad says: "When convenient, he worked with terrorist Bill Ayers. When discovered, he lied." The commercial is arguably McCain's sharpest yet, and it uses Obama's link to Ayers to assert that Obama has "blind ambition" and "bad judgment." McCain's campaign says the ad will run nationally. Obama and Ayers worked together on two nonprofit organizations from the mid-1990s to 2002. Ayers also hosted a small meet-the-candidate event for Obama in 1995 as he first ran for the state Senate. Ayers was founder of the Weather Underground Organization, that claimed responsibility for a dozen bombings between 1970 and 1974. |

They said that Obama was 8 yrs old when the bombings occurred.But Obama did serve on 2 committees with him later. Did he "chum around with him?" Who knows. And who knows if Ayers regrets his past actions. McCain is getting desperate because Obama is outspending him on advertising 3/1.

Oh come on.........stop with the spin doctor crap. Every major news source ( even the conservative ones ) point out that Obama has never been sympathetic toward Ayers' or any of his earlier connections with the " Weather Underground ", and have they only encountered each other occasionally. Conservatives are very desperate, and have to resort to the guilt by association game. There are plenty of things which can be said about McCain and Palin and their associations ( with certain people ) as well. They aren't squeaky clean. The negative champaign tactics of McCain ( and Palin ) are costing him ( them ) popularity. He needs to stop before he really blows it ( I believe he already has ). I'd rather hear what he ( McCain ) intends to do for the country, instead of all of the character assassination of Obama. That never works for me, and proves that he really has no plan. Even McCain took the microphone away from a woman; who said she was afraid of Obama because he is evil. Then McCain said, No! He's not, and the crowd booed him. I'm sure that McCain has noticed, that the bad characterizations of Obama are getting out of hand, and it's his fault, because he's been part of it. This is the United States of America, not the north against the south, or the whites against the blacks; or the right against the left. The state this country is in right now doesn't need that kind of division ( or thinking ). Why go into someone's past for the mere purpose; of making the person look evil? Does God do that ? Every politician, and President who has ever held office in this country, has done something they regretted ( maybe not all ) at some time in his ( or her ) life. None of them have ever been pristine......and certainly not Bush ( or McCain ). If you have been following McCain's champaign, then you heard someone in the crowd yell, " traitor " ( a reference to Obama ), and McCain clearly heard it, but only smiled. There have been other shouts from his ( McCain ) supporters, such as " off with his head "( again a reference to Obama ) and nothing done about it. Here in Atlanta a woman's Halloween display, shows a figure of McCain standing to the right, with a figure of Obama standing to the left; with a skeleton behind him, in a bloody shirt with its hand on Obama's shoulder. What do you suppose that means ? This has got to be the worst and most frightening champaign; I can remember. When people actually call for the death of the opposing parties candidate. This is a sad testimony of a man who is a Christian; Mccain claims to be a Christian, but would Jesus praise him for the type of champaign he's running ? Steve No Presidential Candidate has ever and I mean ever been such a lousy cdandidate. There is way too much out there against this Person. If you read his policdies they are Marxist. He has tried to cover up more ctap than any politician just about ever. If itv were just William Ayers it might be one thing. But it is much deeper. What has this person ever done to qualify him to be a President? He has no accomplishments. He supposedly is a constitutional lawyer, and yet he NEVER brings up any aspects of the Constitution. A true American hangs there hat on what the Constitution originally said. Steve, He spent 20 years in a racist so called Church. If you dont believe it you are not there. You leave. In his own books he speaks of his agreement with Jeremiah Wright. His racism alone should disqualify him. He was one of the most corrupt men in a corrupt city, Chicago. His ads are misleading because he is including the Bush tax cuts which he knows would run out in 2009 and he would not keep them. The cost to the little guy with not bringing them back plus his policies will be staggering. His plan to sign the cap and trade would cost America millions of jobs in the line of factories alone. If Obama were white and if he were a republican this man for who he is and his past would be in jail, and not running for President. He is a disgrace. Dennis........you're ignoring what I said about McCain's supporters calling for the death of Obama. Do you want to see Obama dead too ? If you've been paying attention to what is happening ( when it comes to politics, you tend to ignore the truth ), you'd see that the Bush administration; has made a move to bail-out these failing banks and various other big wall-street ventures. But that's not the end of it. Conservatives ( like McCain ) keep saying that Obama wants to take the country into Socialism. Let me ask you something, what did the Bush administration just do with the bail-out ? Now the government is making a move to take over all of the banks, if you've been paying attention thats Socialism. We have all been "guilty by association"in our past.We could say the same thing about Palin whose husband attended the A.I.P,joined The Alaskan Independent Party in 1995 and Sahreh Palin also attended it with him in 2000.She spoke at the A.I.P.in 2006 and she addressed the Alaskan Independent Party in 2008 and told them "to keep up the good work" Lets see the founder of the Alaskan Independent Party,Joe Vogler states: "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government and I won't be buried under their d--- flag.I'll be buried in Dawson& when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones back to my country.You renounce allegiance,your effects,your honor,your life to Alaska.Thats how I do,I am an Alaskan" SO-O I guess we could ask the same question????
