This is how I see it: He is both holy and loving. As His, He has my best interest in mind and is in the process of conforming me to Christlikeness. That is His number one agenda - to make me more like His Son. Whatever it takes to accomplish that be it discipline, chastisement, blessings, trials, or whatever, that's what He is doing (see Deut 8:3). Having a reverence for His holiness and a thankfulness for His grace leads to trust, obedience and worship.
In summary I can say that His way is perfect, good and acceptable, and the more I am like Him the more my soul is fulfilled.
Praise His Holy and Loving Name,
Jay
