the Cross was what He came to do, the Resurrection is the proof of who He is....without the Resurrection, everything else was worthless

His death is what gave us salvation. Hence his saying "It is finished." The debt was paid. For thousands of years, The Lord made it clear that to have remission of sins there must be blood. Sacrifice in the temple was done for this reason. The protection in Egypt on the night of the Passover was signified by blood. Even when Abraham passed his test to the The Lord and showed he was willing to kill his only son, he still sacrificed a ram to The Lord as a substitutionary sacrifice.

Don't get me wrong, Jesus' resurrection of course is extremely important. It does prove He is God. It does validate our faith and belief. But his death and shed blood is what literally provided propitiation for our sins.

His resurrection and the Heritage of our Covenant is what is the most important because we can know what the banquet table is.

Hey Dennis,
The Apostle Paul said that if Christ be not risen from the dead that we are most misserable. He said that are faith is worthless and that we are still in our sins.
Jesus Himself pointed to his resurrection as the ultimate proof of He being the Messiah the Son Of God.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the very Foundation of our faith!!
God Bless!!

Grace, like water, always flows downward, to the lowest place. Amazing Grace!!

I agree with danny and gmarti!

It is important for the unbeliever to come to the cross...but after that to move beyond it and live the resurrection life. so many don't experience power because they continue to gaze at the cross and miss the LIFE beyond it!
