 Part of my job consists of taking my client to the Bingo, lol. I encourage her to take her small oxygen tank with us but she won't even hear of it. As a nurses aide, I signed a document that states I will abide by the HIPPA ACT so when people ask me what is her ailment, I cannot say anything. I was told tonight that they are getting ready to ban her from going to that bingo hall because she is rude and nasty. I wanted to tell them why exactly she acts the way she does, but I cannot.... I feel if they knew, maybe they would be and could be more compassionate.... what would you do?

 I was told when I returned to work that I was not allowed to tell anyone I was sick for the past two and a half months because of the HIPPA Act. I don't think my boss understands the concept!! Argh!

I wish I had some answers for you but I am plum out! Sorry!

 The hippa is getting out of control. Certainly people want privacy but one can talk about themselves! I can't believe what they told Corrie. I don't know what to say about the bingo place. I would probably tell my client what the bingo people are feeling and give her some tips on appropriate responses?? Really, sorry, I don't know. How bad could she be? What do you think?
