... just IGNORE the SPIRITUAL BULLIES and let them think they are RIGHTEOUS in all they do... hmmm... My daddy taught me to RESPECT ALL people but also not to allow anyone to DISRESPECT ME. No matter what the cost Priscilla, my daddy would say STAND UP for YOURSELF and what you believe in. All my life I have had to deal with BULLIES, and I will admit my way of dealing with the BULLY wasn't always the right way. BULLIES ARE IN EVERY RACE AND ARE EVERYWHERE, from the work place to the grocery store. For the past 2 1/2 years I have had to deal with the worst kind of BULLY here on BC, yeah the DREADED SPIRITUALL BULLY. what to do, what to do LOL... I know most of you would say, just WALK AWAY and be the BETTER PERSON, but come on don't some people need to be put in thier PLACE? John 19:30 ...he said, It is finished |

Hi Priscilla, I think walking away is the best option, but it isn't always the easiest one. As you know I have had one of those situations recently, and I didn't immediately walk away because, like you, I believe bullies should be stood up to. Nevertheless I have learned that responding to the bully and trying to expose their lies only plays into the bully's hands as they were able to make it look as if I was the unreasonable one. As for what you should do with the bullies on BC, it depends why you are blogging in the first place. But I definitely think you should consider deleting aggressive posts from your blog, and also banning anyone who persists. You may face the same taunts I faced, namely that I was being a coward for doing that as it suggests my views will not stand up to honest criticism, but I decided those taunts were akin to Satan taunting Jesus with "IF you are the Son of God...." and now I ignore them - I don't even read the bully's blog. Another option is to view every post yourself before it becomes visible to others - but unless you can be online all day that is likely to slow up the rate of contributions and bring your blog to a grinding halt. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good" [Romans 12:9, 10, 14-21]. It depends on the circumstances. And what you are needing to achieve. Sometimes you may need to state a few facts, other times say something nice, other times just be quiet. But its always easier for on-lookers to say in retrospect what you shouldve done or said, because they arent the ones in your shoes. When it says the part about being nice because in so doing it will heap burning coals of fire on his head.... that means it will cause them to feel badly in their conscience and repent. That might be what you want and need to achieve. Or you might need to set some facts straight first. But I dont think sarcasm for sarcasm is good. Well maybe a little sometimes, Elijah was sarcastic I think. Its all in how you say it, I think. I agree with Peter. And Debbie. Ignore 'em, don't add fuel to the fire, realize you won't 'win the battle' and you waste a lot of emotional energy. No point in standing up to folks who don't give a rip anyway - they just want their point of view and no one else's. So if all of us ignore them! Whew! I agree, only ignoring them stops them. They only feed into your responses, and escalate. They don't care what you say, they don't care who is right, they don't care who they hurt. In fact, if they hurt someone, so much the better. That is their aim. Someone I love dearly is considering leaving the blogs because of the spiritual nastiness found in some places. I felt strongly convicted by Father not to give the nasty, mean, or profane a platform on my blog, so I took the steps I felt led to take. Allowing them to show their inner darkness splatters me with it. Rebuking them was not my place, and useless anyway. Some of us are not as strong as others, and could be genuinely harmed. Since those eager for attention at any price will not persist in the face of silence, it is my opinion that silence is the best response. Were you the only one who ever lived; Jesus would still have done it all! We need to STOP spreading lies and half truths

Excellent responses! This is just my 2 cents. Allow them to post on your blog and if they become a bully, ignore it. Don't respond to them. Don't ban them. I know...easier said than done, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can do it. God will expose the truth and if He God (not the bully) happens to expose it on your blog, then so be it. You have given God the opportunity to use you and your blog to expose the Truth. God bless you! You are loved

"golden rule"- if they can't RESIST temptation to DEFEND a lost position- expect to teach them how to lose even more ground. They DO INDEED teach you how they WANT TO BE TREATED. Just where is that concept found in scripture? Which of Jesus parables shows us to act the way you do? PLEASE educate the ignorant losers o sinless one! Please show us your superior wisdom. I'm not here to "convert" you or anything like that... I'm just making sure you REMEMBER to keep sinning and never quit. Just as that first angel said was going to happen.
